Poor

The is a major glitch in your Number 9 program / Donut. Will not load or play. Slows everything down & creates major issues. Fix it now.

Worst app ever

Worst app ever, please dont ever buy it, it made my ipad really bad and is the worst app, filled with ads and really bad in general

Shame

Would be great if it worked, can't even show the keyboard.

Don't use!

The app Logo Draw is NOT a good app to introducing software programming, computer graphics, and logical thinking. It gives you information to how to use the app, but once you get started. It freezes when you try to get to your new project, the buttons glitch and when you pushed them they don't do anything. What is probably the worst part of it is if you what to text or go on another app, when you go back to logo draw it crashes. I used the K Turtle program and I liked the concept but this app doesn't cooperate.

Back in the day . . .

Back in the day when I was using an Apple // and later an Apple //gs (you can google those modern miracles) there was a FABULOUS program called Turtle Logic. It was wonderful in a world of simple computing in an age where teachers were the students and students were following (being dragged along) in their slip stream. Turtle Logic was just this program! And what a hoot this is! YES! you can write commands in this app and make NEW drawings. The samples are just that, samples. Go farther. Read the code. Check the website at the bottom of the command list page. Then start writing code!
This is awesome for so many reasons. First and foremost, it is a tool for teachers to give their students to learn logic with graphical output. They can learn to think! It's funny, you can make a picture that is a real bust! Then, add one turn or one change of values and presto! You have an amazing graphic!
It teaches the value of learning "code" and paying attention. To details! And, keeping an overall view as your "product" will have an over all view, a picture! Or . . . a bust!!! In which case you re-write or start over. This is the real deal app and thanks to the authors who must have heard about Turtle Logic (with the "turtle" as the drawing tool) from their grandparents. : - ) And yes, I have a bushy grey beard.
I'll study up more on the website but mostly want to make my own drawings. It's been a long wait for TL to resurface and here it is. Hurrah! Now, it's time for the teacher to learn. But, if you are a "student" or just want to have graphic fun, this is the one for you! It is 2-D, set pen, etc. and I think if it could speak like Popeye, it would say the same, "I yam what I yam!". It is not C++ or HTML5 or what ever the latest in programing is (r u glad I didn't say FORTRAN or COBOL?). It is teaching thinking, moving, and all kinds of geometry. And it is . . . F U N ! Thanks again!
Oh, in an age of STEM learning (google that too), this is a terrific tool (Lego MindStorm thinking aide). But, it leans into STEAM, surpassing STEM, if you want to get too nerdy about greater educational goals. As you can guess, I am a retired teacher, librarian and now teach rural economic development in my home state. So I like to keep up on things. Great app! Now I'm going back into it!!! JD
