4.1 is game changer!
I have been using Lokate for almost a year now. But this 4.1 release is fantastic! The track labels are a great way to organize and visualize the map. I love the k9 registry with certifications and vaccinations. Reporting is a very strong feature - you can build your own reports in the phone but the developer also gives you a web tool for this! And with its automatic archiving it also creates a report - I just discovered this. Absolutely SUPER app for just a couple of bucks.

Functional features not found in other tracking and trailing apps
I am finding features unique to Lokate such as the ability to record and recall our and our subject’s training trail in “real time”. The pull out tab of track metrics and weather attribution is another bonus too, recording not only current weather but prior conditions. The opportunity to create my training and mission log template has been helpful as often other apps impose a list. As a new user to Lokate, I was impressed that a non-techy person like me was able to immediately use many of the features. Use with the Apple Watch has been a big plus both for speed and functionality. As the app continues to evolve, I look forward to incorporating more of its features during both trainings and missions.

Good app!
Looks like a good companion app for canine handlers. I like the ability to log training results associated with a GPS track. Makes for a more complete review later on.
This is what I was looking!
I’ve been using this program for a while now. It’s stable and very well designed. It started off as a really good tool for search and rescue, I have a trailing dog. But with each new upgrade, the programmer seems to recognize the challenges and importance of quality mapping/information while on missions. I have used other programs in the past, and I find that I no longer. This program seems to have it all. Love it!
Lokate is great and for $4 it’s a simple decision to purchase. It’s an excellent investment in getting the most out of trainings.

Finally, an app for K9s and SAR
The developer’s focus to make this app more and more K9 focus is great. Finally we have something for us dog folks. Still rough around the edges but already useful to record handler data. The 3D map capability has helped me gain terrain understanding quicker and better than I can get from SARTopo. The app works in paralllel with SARTopo so you don’t have to decide one or the other. Developer has said we’ll soon get training logs! Can’t wait to see the next version.
