London Kitesurfers (LKSA) brings regularly-updated wind forecast, tide and safety information for every kitesurfing spot within a couple of hours' drive of central London - from Hayling Island in the west to Frinton in the east. Know which beach to head to, and which to skip, before you leave the M25. WHAT YOU GET - Interactive map of every south-east coast kite spot with a colour-coded verdict for the next 7 days. - Hourly wind-direction map on each spot - scrub the day and watch the arrow, tide state and off-shore flag update in sync. - Tide-zone day-strip on spots with community-observed thresholds: green kite window, amber "wing/foil", red "no kiting" at high tide. - Detailed forecast per spot: peak wind, direction against the beach, tide window, hourly breakdown, safety verdict. - Water-quality + pollution-risk signals from the UK Environment Agency, and groyne / tide-height hazard warnings. - Off-shore and cross-off wind days clearly flagged, per hour. - What3words launch address + community reports for every spot. FORECAST ACCURACY (new in v1.7.6) Every spot page links to a Forecast Accuracy view: how close our past forecasts were to what actually blew. Average error in knots, a warm/cold bias, a "kiteable calls right" hit-rate, a forecast-vs-actual chart and an error-by-lead-time breakdown, from a verified history that grows daily. WIND HISTORY (new) Browse the reanalysis wind archive for any spot and past date - hourly wind, gusts and direction, charted and tabled. The same data behind the website's spot history. WIND ALERTS (new) Set a "notify me when it hits N kt" threshold on any favourite spot: a local, on-device heads-up when its forecast reaches your number on a kiteable day. No notification permission required. NARRATIVE FORECAST - DAILY and WEEKEND Tap the top-of-map headline strip for a full narrative, with a Daily | Weekend picker. Mentioned spots tap through to the native spot page. BEACH TRIP PLANNER Line up 1-3 candidate spots for a date. LKSA auto-picks the best for the wind and bumps you to #2 or #3 if the primary drops out. A Lock-Screen + Dynamic Island Live Activity tracks wind, verdict and next tide (kept fresh by server push), with a pre-drive reminder, optional Calendar mirror and an "I'm back" that offers to log the session from Apple Health. SESSION LOG + INSIGHTS Private log syncing across iPhone, iPad and Mac via iCloud. Auto-imports Apple Health / Watch workouts; imports GPX from Woo, Surfr, Hoolan, Garmin, Strava and any GPX 1.1 exporter - multi-ride days auto-split, duplicates grouped (now showing each copy's source app so you pick which counts).
