Needs support for numbers more than 5 digits
I’m a former math teacher, and this was the ONLY app like this that I could find. I use it extensively (and the others in the suite) to teach my own children who have disabilities related to fine motor control, and therefore can’t do long division on paper. The one problem is that it maxes out at 99,999 and can’t do calculations with numbers bigger than 5 digit. Would LOVE to see an update that changes this. Also, the font size is small and even on a iPad Pro 12.9”, some of my kids with vision issues have trouble seeing the numbers.

This long division tool is great - the format is just as I remember - and will be a help to my 9 year old daughter.
Wow! Teaches long division well
My kiddo hated and avoided learning division for two years. Finally, I got her all Esa Heltula division apps. She started ASKING to do her long division apps, and was a whiz in a week.

Not a lot for the price.
The app does what it says okay, however it gives you the answer in the form of randomly generated numbers that you pick the right one from rather than figuring it out yourself, which is what a real problem will have you do. And the price is quite steep to me for a one function app. Other apps, such as the ABTC calculator let you perform many functions, break down each step, and are much cheaper.

Great apps
I use the long division, long multiplication, column addition and column subtraction apps with my special education students in grades 1 through 5. I have my iPad connected to my LCD projector and we go through problems in their math books step by step. The kids love it and complete to see who can get the most problems correct. My district is looking at putting iPads into more classrooms and I hope they will include these apps.

I am 11 yrs old and I have trouble with LONG DIVISION and this helped me a lot I heard of this app because my teacher asked another teacher if he had downloaded it so as soon I got home I told my mom if she could buy it I luvv it
Finally!
Exactly what I was looking for my daughter (4th grade), I wanted a step by step operation process for her to learn? I purchased 2 other "step by step" apps that did not do what this one does. Finally I hit the jack pot!
Long Division
Ever have trouble teaching a child to do long division? Then this is the app for you. This is the best educational math app out there! All of my students are now very successful with long division. I love the 'flexibility' of it. It provides step by step support for those who need it, and as the child's understanding increases, the 'extra' supports can be removed. Awesome! The support of the developer is also awesome. Within days, there was an update to fix a 'glitch' we found. Thank you!

Great program
Im 43 years old and havnt done long division in years lol... But it's a great refresher course and thank you so much... I would like u to update the program so i can divide 1 into 3, it defaults 3 divide into 1. Can u update more then 5 digits like get into really long division change up to 5 digits on the left and 12 digits on the right thanks

This app is an excellent reinforcement of the skills in completing a long division problem. My students love this app. They are working, learning and having fun all at the same time!!
