About
The simplest eye-care habit for people who stare at screens.
The 20-20-20 rule is easy: every 20 minutes of screen time, look at something 20 feet (6 m) away for 20 seconds. Look20 reminds you at the right moment — and then lets you actually look away.
LOOK AWAY WITHOUT OPENING THE APP
• A reminder arrives every 20 minutes, even when the app is closed
• Tap "Look away now" right on the notification. A soft chime tells you when the 20 seconds are up — no countdown to watch
• Prefer a guide? Open the countdown; it chimes when the break is done too
FITS YOUR DAY
• Active hours — reminders only while you work, quiet the rest of the day
• Pause for today — for meeting-heavy or deep-work days
• Interval from 15 to 60 minutes, break length from 20 to 60 seconds
BUILD THE HABIT
• Today's reference rate and your streak of consecutive days
• 7-day and 30-day history
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no servers. Your settings and history stay on your device. No analytics — just one non-personalized banner ad at the top, never on the break screen.
HOME SCREEN WIDGETS
See the countdown to your next scheduled reminder in a small or medium widget. The medium widget also shows today’s breaks and opens a break with one tap.
Look20 does not measure your vision or eye health and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. If you have eye pain or changes in vision, see an eye care professional.
REMINDER CONTINUITY
Typical active hours repeat daily. Pausing today or exceeding 60 daily slots uses a limited schedule that needs background refresh or an occasional app visit. Focus and system settings may delay notifications.
REFERENCE RATE
The rate uses your current interval and active hours, so changing settings also changes past rates. Pauses and actual delivery are not included. Counts record a completed countdown or tapping “Look away now”; they do not measure time spent resting.
