By simply riding the Metromover, users earn points that can be redeemed for discounts, free items, and exclusive local deals — all at no cost to riders. LOOPA is currently operating as a pilot program in Miami. How LOOPA Works Start a ride at a Metromover station End your ride at another station Earn points based on how far you traveled Redeem points for rewards from local businesses The length of each ride is determined by comparing your entry and exit stations to the Metromover loop map. Earn Points. Unlock Rewards. Earn points for each verified ride Redeem points for food, drinks, attractions, and local deals Points never expire Level up as you ride more and unlock future bonuses Your level is based on lifetime progress, so spending points never sets you back. Location & Verification LOOPA uses location services only while you are actively scanning at stations to verify that rides are legitimate. Location is not tracked in the background No GPS routes or speed data are stored Ride data is converted into station names and timestamps only You can use most of the app without location enabled, but location is required to verify rides. Privacy & Transparency LOOPA does not sell personal data Any shared insights are aggregated and anonymized No individual users are identifiable Users can delete their account at any time from within the app Local First LOOPA partners with local businesses to offer meaningful rewards that support Miami’s community. While LOOPA is not currently affiliated with Miami-Dade Transit, future partnerships may be explored as the pilot evolves. Pilot Program Notice LOOPA is actively evolving.
