Lore — The Bookshop Oracle

Lore 1.4 — the bookshop fills up. The Codex Every visitor you have met and every book the oracle has drawn for you now has a place of its own: portraits and backstories, the tier you drew and the day you drew it, and a quiet count of how much of the shop you have seen. Eight hundred and thirty visitors The door used to open on the same familiar few. It now opens on 830 souls, each with their own name, their own face and their own three words of mood — and 64 silhouettes instead of eight. Every visitor carries a story Not a line. A story. Each visitor has a five-chapter arc of about a hundred words a chapter — 2,490 chapters, every one of them translated into all six languages rather than left in English. Choose well and the next chapter opens. A room to read them in Storylines now have a screen built for reading: one chapter at a time, your place kept for you, at whatever text size you use everywhere else. Holidays that arrive on the right day Twelve visitors keep the calendar — The Penny Candle at Halloween, The First Foot on New Year's night, and ten more. Lunar New Year and Easter are worked out from the calendar now instead of being guessed at, so they land on the day they should. On iPad The app no longer stretches a phone across the screen. Home, the picker and the oracle sit side by side, and long text reads in a proper column. On iPad: write on it Mark up a prophecy card with Apple Pencil before you send it, and share it in a shape made for a wide screen rather than a tall one. Easier to see, easier to settle Tiers no longer rely on colour alone: each one carries its own symbol on the widget's seven-day strip and throughout the Codex. Reduce Motion has its own switch in Settings, and everything that drifts or shimmers obeys it. Share a prophecy as a page Share a reading and it can travel as a web page of its own — the tier, the book, and the sentence the oracle wrote. Off until you turn it on, only the readings you share, and you can take any of them down. Links that open the app An invite or a shop link shared from Lore now opens Lore, not Safari. Enchanted Reads, without another login Connecting your Enchanted Reads account now opens the Enchanted Reads app itself, where you are already signed in. Approve it there and you are back in the bookshop. Also: the offline screen appears when the shop cannot be reached, the shop runs cooler and smoother on older iPhones, and the guided tour is back.
