Tedious and repetitive
I’m a big fan of Five BN and have enjoyed all their games, even replaying the entire Lost Lands series. But this one, which uses a different puzzle/reward strategy, becomes pretty tedious as you move SLOWLY through the story. Most of the stuff you need comes in “collections,” and it isn’t just the actual items you need (five keys, five feathers, five masks, etc.) but also OTHER items like boxes and ribbons and ropes that are required to complete the “set” before you can use it to advance the story. And how do you get those items? By repeatedly hunting through the same several hidden object areas for much of the same stuff, and also playing fairly simple games (like lining up lasers or jumping tiles to clear the board). Repeatedly. Over and over. Or you can buy crystals and spend them to complete a set, but that could get very expensive very quickly. Sorry to say this is not a good fit for fans of Five BN’s other excellent hidden object puzzle adventures.

Love this format as it meant the game lasted much longer and there is the option to continue playing some pf the puzzles and object finding indefinitely. A real plus when you have played all the available five bn games!

Jeu intéressant mais beaucoup de petits jeux impossibles à faire ( même quand on voit la solution, impossible à refaire) et donc il faut payer pour avancer et ça devient très cher ! Dommage 😕

A different approach
This game was a little confusing to get into as the plot drivers weren’t immediately obvious. Take time to learn where and what all the control options are. Be warned, you REALLY have to be willing to play endless hidden object games, often in the same location to accumulate what you need to progress. A good memory helps! What is surprising is that you don’t have to spend real money at all, if you use the collection/ hidden object engine to get what you need. I did spend a fiver only to avoid a particular type of puzzle. I then had one last go and solved it, so I didn’t need to spend, but hey the devs deserve it!
Gameplay falls into daily sections, usually one task and the collection of five items. Once the five items are collected there may be additional items to complete the collection, which can be won by playing the several free HO locations or using the keeper eggs which you will discover. There are several keeper altars, each has a different type of puzzle. I mostly went for the Rush Hour / free a pin type and the game locked me out of that twice! All puzzles are timed and depending how quickly you solve them you may get up to 3 bonus items which add up in your collections.
There is a good hint system ( the inkwell icon), a recap whenever you go to bed in the game ( in case those multiple HOs made you forget!), and the map ( far right) helpfully indicates green for action locations. The few times it goes blank, check your collection book, you probably have to do a few puzzles to collect what’s needed to progress.
I was impressed by the attention to detail, especially the food being ate while listening to the elderly lady’s story, and the usual symbol use as well as colour for those with colourblindness. Nice work devs!
It’s taken me four days, with two insomniac nights when I got fixated on it, to complete the main game. Instead of an extra mini adventure it goes into “ forever mode”, which I think means random quests for villagers as my first was a request for fruit collecting from the elderly lady we meet at the beginning.
Seriously, sorry for the long review but this is app gaming at its best. I’m still amazed that it doesn’t aggressively monetise gameplay. If there is one slight niggle, there were a lot of missed opportunities for puzzles to be inserted after collecting, but it was done for you which was a bit disappointing.

I don’t understand why this game has a lower rating than the other FIVE-BN games. I enjoyed the mix of puzzle adventure and hidden object game genres. Would love to see a part two made.

I love all the five gn games.. except this one, I’ve tried playing it twice now.. and can not seem to get anywhere in it.

Very frustrating. I just keep doing the same thing over one over again. Can’t seem to move on. No directions at all I think I have everything I need but I can’t use them. I loved Lost Lands and played all of them. It looks like this is the end for me. What a bummer. Maybe if they had an explanation of how to play it would have helped.

I love this game so much I don’t write reviews but this game is so exciting love the graphics and the puzzles really keep me thinking I also love that we can earn eggs and diamonds, so please make more games like this one , I don’t have the money to buy any of these games I’m just a house wife and my husband is retired money is not available, Please I’m begging you to make more of this game ,I have played this one around 4 times I just can’t get enough. I like the collect and build aspect of the game. Never seen this added to this kind of game. Adds another layer of engagement.
Great once you get the hang of it
This isn’t like their other games, so it took some getting used to, but once I did I loved it. It is definitely challenging, but also fun and very long! Keep up the great work guys, love your games!

J’ai apprécié le game play plus riche que dans les différents lost land. Le système de collection qui s’incrémente et qui permet de gagner des diamants et autres items est bien pensé et permet une fluidité de jeu sans avoir a acheté quoi que ce soit, merci pour ça. Il y a également une belle diversité de casse têtes.
Seuls bémols, sur iPad il n’est pas toujours facile d’avoir une réponse tactile rapide et un problème de traduction rend la recherche d’objets cachés parfois… surprenante !

Pouvoir agrandir (un peu) certaines scènes d’objets cachés serait un plus.

I absolutely love this game
This game, the story and the visuals are amazing but I wish that there was more of the evil spirit thing I forget what it’s called and more of the chains imprisoning it being broken and the main girl I forget her name too having to battle it and maybe sacrificing herself to stop the evil spirit thing once and for all sorry it’s super long but this game is one of the best games I’ve ever played

Je recommande vivement ce jeu d’énigme. J’ai l’habitude de jouer aux jeux d’escape game et viens de le terminer. Il est très bien conçu j’ai beaucoup aimé passer du temps à résoudre les énigmes. Il est long même en jouant tout les jours ce qui est appréciable. Entièrement gratuit par rapport à beaucoup d’autres où il faut payer pour finir le jeu.
