About

Lots of Nancy is a two‑player memory‑matching game (played on a single device) featuring 18 pairs of images arranged in a 6×6 grid. All image cards begin face‑down, and players take turns flipping any two cards in hopes of finding a matching pair. A correct match earns one point and allows the player to continue their turn; mismatches pass play to the opponent. Matched pairs are removed from the board, and when all pairs have been found, the player with the most points wins. (In the event of a tie, the classic “Eeny, Meeny, Miney, Moe” routine decides the victor.) Traditional matching games rely entirely on memorizing revealed cards — a task that can become tedious. Lots of Nancy introduces a strategic twist: every time a card is revealed, the game displays a chess‑piece indicator that hints at the location of its matching card. Because the 36 cards are randomly arranged at the start of each game, each pair has a unique spatial relationship. The chess‑piece icons represent that relationship using familiar movement patterns from the game of chess. A Rook symbol means the matching card lies somewhere in the same row or column. A Bishop indicates the match is located along a diagonal. A Knight marks an L‑shaped offset. A King means the matching card is adjacent — one square away in any direction. If none of these movements apply, a “NOT” slash symbol appears to show that the match cannot be reached by any single chess move. If a player selects two cards that do not match, the chess‑piece indicators for both cards remain visible as overlays on their backs once they return to the face‑down state. These persistent clues accumulate throughout the game, giving players a growing set of logical hints to guide their choices — not just their memory of images. This system adds a layer of deduction and spatial reasoning that transforms the classic matching format into a thoughtful puzzle. Because positional relationships are mutual, any two matching cards will always share the same chess‑piece indicator. And each symbol eliminates entire categories of possibilities: for example, a card marked with a Bishop cannot be adjacent. Players can use these constraints to make informed, strategic selections rather than guessing blindly. Whether you’re following a diagonal because a Bishop symbol suggests it, or avoiding all cards that may be represented by a chess move because a slash symbol rules them out, Lots of Nancy rewards clever deduction as much as memory — all while showcasing the delightful photo sets of Nancy Maria.
