Louis Vuitton Legendary Trunks is one of most unique applications I have ever come across. It is arguably the first iOS application that successfully brings together all the facets of luxury fashion in an entertaining and immersive manner. Upon launch with the introduction video you can immediately see that this is no ordinary branding application that is more style than substance. It is both style and substance. The presentation is creative in that users can access the content in many ways. One way is by selecting a person and reading about how the luggage played a part in their lifestyle. This will come through in either images, videos, sound clips, texts, documents, 360 interactions of the trunks or a combination of a few. The public figures presented come from all walks of life whether heads of state, business, or artists who range from the mid 1800's to the present day. This timeline of figures who traveled with Louis Vuitton trunks helps to illustrate the historical context of the brand and provides users with various styles of the suitcases employed in different time periods. The suitcase collection can be viewed in multiple ways whether through a timeline, gallery or other unique ways giving weight to the idea of the products being worthy of examination and the book it is based on. The application itself can be taken as a visual anthropological study with the luxury brand crossing so many social and cultural borders over various time periods. This application is proof that there is much more to fashion and in particular luggage than just style. The app makes clear it can be the application in utility, how it best reflects its owner or the time period it is being used in. For lovers of fashion or even those with not much of an appreciation of it can find something to ponder over here.

App needs an iOS 7-compatible update
I am definitely a hardcore lover of Louis Vuitton and while this app is wonderful in general because of all of the cool information it contains, it is in dire need of an update to make it a bit more stable. Right now the current version is not completely compatible with iOS 7, so it tends to crash when accessing certain features. That is my only complaint.
