Forgotten app
7 years without updating, the LS9 did not change, but the iPad operating systems did, they must update the app so that all tools are compatible, such as the RTA in iPadOS 18 and higher. Thank you.
Great App.. I only wish that.....
I am such a fan of this app. It has single handily made the LS9 so much easier to mix on. I love the HA gain, and scene memory. I’d love to be able to access the EQ library, and add support for the split view feature on the iPad.
This app is really bad
If I were Yamaha I would have banned whomever designed this app to work on any company, not only has no flow of work but it is unreliable, seriously , the physical mixer is great , but this app is total garbage. This kind of app has to be designed by somebody that works in the live sound industry or at least common sense of organization skill.

Problem with v1.35
Not connect with v1.35 update
Works great but no custom fader control!?!?
If the app allowed control of a custom fader layer I would have given it the full 5 stars. But I can't believe it doesn't have that function!? It seems to me that would be the one main thing you would want to control; especially with the limited screen real estate on an iPad. Still, the app is very solid and dependable!

Errors
Overall I like the app. I have been using it with the LS9 desk for about 2 years now and it works really well. It is easy to navigate and control. The only issue that is keeping me from giving it a 5/5 is the fact that the latest update has a major bug that limits me from doing everything I need to from the iPad. The app will at times lock me out of accessing the “Sends on Faders” area which is critical for my ability to mix the on stage monitors remotely.

Useful but...
I love using studio manager but carrying around a laptop isn't always the easiest tasks especially while doing certain gigs. I like Stagemix for its ease of use but it still can't do certain things like routing or access to my racks. Hopefully this upcoming update will change this.
Excellent and Useful
This app is excellent. It operates smoothly.
It is so useful. Our church's sanctuary always sounds slightly different out amidst the audience than it does back in the sound booth or in my headphones. With this app (and WiFi) I can fine tune the band's levels and the pastors's EQ as it actually sounds to the audience.

Still a few bugs...
Love the ability to control the LS9, but it would be awesome to be able to swipe between screens. Also, with 7.0.4, we are losing the connection regularly.

Thank you Yamaha! With this app I can mix monitors right on stage, set the house mix standing wherever I want. Perfect!
New update failure
After installing the newest update, I have had an issue with the entire piece of hardware crashing shortly after accessing the new dynamics features which are new in this update. Once, the pad even locked up to the point where I couldn't even turn off the device. But in every case, the iPad had to be completely restarted in order for stage mix to open back up after a crash.
I do like the new features that were added, but I believe there may be some sort of memory leak. I'm very busy on the surface but I have never experienced these types of lock ups prior to the latest update on the iPad.
It would be helpful for the software folks to look into what might be causing this.
One more feature that I would like to see would be an update which would allow two or more devices to be connected to the LS9 console simultaneously.
Other than my little issue, good stuff! Thanks to the folks at Yamaha for all the hard work!

Still needs a tweak
This is an awesome app. I would have given it 5 stars with the exception that it froze on me today when I was saving a scene. It indicated the comment was invalid and there wasn't even a comment in it - just the scene name. Sadly, I had to restart my iPad in order to fix the problem as I could not close the app or do anything else.
Thanks for adding the EQ mix too Yamaha. It's so much easier to make those adjustments on the iPad vs. the board itself.

Thanks you for adding dynamics to the stage mix app. Finally caught up with everyone else.
Good App, but in need of additional features to make it excellent.
This app comes in handy, but is lacking some key features mentioned by others who have reviewed the app, namely: dynamics support, access to the custom fader layer, and access to user defined keys.
We run our stuff through the custom fader layer, so it would be a massive improvement to add that feature.

Stellar App, just missing a couple things
Add dynamics control and phantom power control.
It would be nice to swipe between sets of channels.
Would also be cool to solo audio via the iPad.
Let the app run in the background, and come right back without having to wait for it to load. Some of us are switching to RTA's and set lists.

Solid app
Be sure to update to IOS 6 and update your LS9 firmware. I use this to set up my monitors during rehearsals. During live performances, I use the app and use the board at the same time. It's a must have!
Frequent user
This is a great app, but it would be nice to see a few things added. First, a tab to have access to the custom fader layer just like the 1-32 and 33-64 tabs. Second: Controls for the dynamics. Third: in regards to the fader setup( 1-8, 9-16, 17-24 etc), what about adding a side scrolling feature using the iPad gestures technology to navigate through the faders? Lastly, this may be a wish list item, but could you add a way to listen to (cue)and talkback to the performers via plugging into the iPad headphone port. That would be SOOOO cool!!;). It would really make my day if ANY of these changes came true!!!!;).

App seems to respond faster, controls easier to navigate. Wish you could activate phantom power though.
