Each player rolls the die, and the highest roller begins the game. To enter a token into play, a player must roll a 6. If no token is in play and a 6 is not rolled, the turn passes to the next player.
Rolling a 6 allows you to enter a new token into play or move a token already in play. It also earns you an additional bonus roll. If you roll three consecutive 6s, your turn immediately passes to the next player.
Yes, if your token lands on a square occupied by an opponent's token, the opponent's token is returned to their yard. It can only be re-entered into play by rolling a 6.
Unlike some other versions, there are no 'safe' squares on the main game track that protect your tokens from being captured. However, a player's home column squares are always safe from opponents.
