Nice concept, but not ready to be used yet
In general a nice app. But not completely thought through yet. In the last days I missed that the runway length is not shown.
Today I was REALLY annoyed. I was in the glider ready to lunch and started my flight, but then it was shown that my subscription is not current anymore. So I flew without! Can you please show this directly when one opens the app?

Mir gefällt was ich sehe. Ich hoffe das durch mein Abo auch weiterhin nützliche Funktionen hinzukommen/aktuell gehalten werden.
Won’t download maps for USA, says

And there is no info on how to contact apps support.
I did delete and re-install but did not fix it. My connection. Is fine.

Great simple Gliding Navigation, but very poor mapping
Lufty is a great little app and very simple to use. Great tasks, Navigate to a turn point and nice simple, easy to use, interface. It’s great for recording tracks, and easy to export. Used on an iPhone SE it utilises the built in barometer for altitude. It integrates with weglide to declare and upload tasks.
However I have given it only 3 stars because despite making the suggestions several months ago and again recently received no indication this will change - the issue is the level of mapping using the current Open Map map level remains so poor that it’s almost unusable. The main problem is there is no indication of urban areas. A large city is just a white dot and exactly the same as a small village. You cannot see roads or railway lines. It’s difficult to see the difference between open moorland and rural fields. The only indication is the change of colour for height. In flatland countries like the U.K. this doesn’t show nearly enough detail.
As such you could not use it for reliable navigation in much of the UK in my view.
Other competing products have a choice of mapping, which do show enough features and I suggest this is remedied. If it was I think it would be a great app, especially for people that just need something that’s easy to use.

Naja mir fehlt das Konzept dass die App von den anderen abhebt
Zum einen ist es natürlich immer toll wenn man eine Segelflug App mit Navi etc. entstehen sieht. Jedoch ist die App absolut nicht in der Lage es mit Titeln wie Xc soar aufzunehmen.Warum? Weil man auch für diese App Geld bezahlen muss bzw. Ein Abo abschließen muss. Hinzu kommt, dass alles in der App etwas zu kinderfreundlich im Design ist und die App dadurch zwar leicht zu bedienen ist, dies jedoch auf Kosten der Funktionalität geschieht. Schön wären auch Verknüpfungen mit WeGlide oder (für die Boomer unter uns) auch OLC. Auch muss ich anmerken, dass ich die App erst auf einem längerem streckenflug benutzt habe, weshalb ich in meinem jetztigen Stadium nicht mehr zur App sagen kann.
Fazit: schöne App . Aber warum sollte ich mir kein iGlide holen wenn ich schon Geld bezahle. Das bekomme ich dann auch lifetime. Hier könnten die Entwickler gerade im Wachstum von OLC oder We Glide profitieren und die App gratis machen oder meinetwegen eine günstige lifetime Subskription. auch wäre eine iPad Vollbild Version wünschenswert.
