Finding objects just got easier — and smarter. - Telescope pointing guidance: Select any object and Lumen will show you exactly where to point your telescope. A live compass indicator guides you in real time — turn left, look higher — until you're on target. If the object hasn't risen yet or has already set, Lumen will let you know. - Seeing-aware recommendations: Lumen now checks live atmospheric conditions for your location before recommending eyepieces. On nights when the sky is turbulent, high-magnification combinations that would only frustrate you are automatically set aside, so every recommendation you see is one that will actually work tonight.
