Won’t work anymore
I’ve had this app for a while with no issues. Opened it today to an error message and camera won’t work. Hopefully there’s a fix soon but I’m noticing the very low numbers of ratings and even a review from 11 years ago. Hopefully this app isn’t dead and gets fixed because I love it so much 💔

Great video effects
Video Import No Longer Properly Supported
I used to love this app. The video feedback simulation is great. However, I used to be able to import videos and apply all effects easily. Now importing a video appears to crop it or simply squeeze/expand the image to fill the app’s canvas, thus not allowing you to really see what you’re doing or gauge how you’re applying effects. The app always felt a little glitchy, unpredictable and unstable, but this really pushes it over the edge. Such a shame. Please consider fixing this.

Having issues
At first the app was working but now it won’t let me use it on my videos!! It keeps zooming in on my videos for some reason! Really annoyed because I wanted this app for while and now that I have it, it doesn’t even work for what I want it for!! Please fix it!!!!!!!
Switches back to square format
cool app, but it switches back constantly to the square video size… how do I make it stay in the wide format???

Apps cool but I paid 2.99 for something that apparently just doesn’t work on my brand new iPhone . Wont let me save any videos , and upon trying to contact anyone their website won’t pull up an email , don’t have Facebook or Twitter , and their privacy policy doesn’t have anything so now I have no clue why I paid for it :/ lame

Videos Zoomed In
Anytime I try to upload a video to add trails it zooms the video in and will not let me zoom out. I don’t think the sliders are “sensitive” enough. Maybe sensitive isn’t the right word. But there’s no good in between trail for what I’m looking for, it’s either too much or too little, and not even the right colors of the LEDs from my prop. I’ve tried downloading and redownloading 4 times in the last few years. I’ve had different iPhones during this as well. I’m not sure what the problem is since so many other people have success with it..but then again others haven’t either soo...

Hello Thebeginningshaman, Luminancer hasn’t changed in this area for some time. So I suspect this may have something to do with the the resolution of the video file. If you could provide me with more information I will figure out what is happening here. Otherwise Luminancer works best with HD resolution videos and we haven’t added support for 4K yet. Thanks
Doesn’t work
I can’t get this app to work at all. Anytime I try to film from it or upload a video to edit it just crashes and exits the app

still use it all the time. The developer gets back with you almost instantly if there’s an issue and there are rarely any issues. The app is cool and easy to navigate and I love the UI.
There’s just something special about this app that allows me to make some really interesting affects.
Granted it doesn’t do everything like some people want it to but unfortunately in the iOS realm you have to use multiple apps sometimes.
I’ve been beta testing apps for over 10 years and I see the work/time that is put into making some of these apps and it is brilliant.
Always a fan of this app and always will be. Thank you for making it and I’ll tell you I still love love love the new icon!!! Sorry about rambling on but if you don’t have this app and you like video effects then this is an app you need in your arsenal!

Scales for Decay & Threshold
I like the app - I use it for LED hoop and fire sessions and often get some really trippy stuff. I’d like to see scales added to the Decay and Threshold controls so that once I get a setting I like, I can reproduce the effect the next session. Thanks for developing this !!!

It’s great but..
I love this app but over the past 2 years I’ve taken some absolutely amazing videos that I really held close to my heart and there’s nothing more frustrating than your video not loading. Can’t save it or rewatch it the video is just in limbo. This continuously happens to me and I’m starting to wonder why I paid for an app that brings me sadness and frustration? If you could figure out how to make this app JUST A LITTLE more hi-tech it might be worth it. Seems like it hasn’t advanced since I found it two years ago?

I like this app!
I think it’s a good purchase for $3. Traces the light from your flow toys and it looks really pretty. I wish there was a way to put color traces on videos already recorded.. not sure if there is not but I haven’t figured it out?!
Love but so many issues
This is one of my favorite apps for editing videos where I play with LED props but it drives me nuts how many bugs there are with the saving of videos. I've had this app for years and love the effects they give but what's the point if I can't save my stuff that's a certain length, or not at all! Please fix this stuff guys I don't want to stop using this app
