Lumis : Discover & Share

Lumis is a foreign text and sentence shadowing practice-focused tool app. Users can browse, save, organize, and manage foreign language sentences, text materials, and transcripts to build a personal language study journal. Materials can be added via manual typing, photo scanning, or selecting images from the photo library. The built-in AI optical character recognition transforms images and text into structured sentence lists for daily review. Users can read lines aloud, record shadowing practice, and compare on-device transcriptions to track pronunciation differences sentence by sentence. Each practice session automatically generates session notes that record transcription details, corrections, and review history. Users can organize items by tags, difficulty levels, and set custom review reminders for upcoming practice sessions. All data runs locally on the device without requiring user accounts or cloud synchronization. Image scanning uses in-app coins for credit consumption, starting with free initial credits for new users, with additional coins available through one-time in-app purchases.
