What's New in Lumiya Music

2.2.9

August 22, 2026

Fixes and improvements - Picking a song in a list or in search now queues the whole list instead of just that one song, and artwork is shown everywhere, including on the Lock Screen. - A light appearance has arrived. A new Appearance setting lets you choose Light, Dark, or follow the system. - The app no longer rescans your library every time you open it. It now checks which folders have actually changed and only examines those — on large collections, launching no longer takes seconds. - The player remembers what was playing again. Previously, deleting or renaming a single file from the queue was enough for the app to forget the last playback entirely. - Music in an iCloud folder can now be downloaded to your device in full — right after you add the folder, or any time from the library menu. If the system has paused syncing, the app tells you. - The full-screen player closes more smoothly: the swipe down is now handled by the system, and you can cancel it halfway. - CarPlay: the shuffle button no longer switches itself off. Shuffle and repeat modes are now reported to the system, so the car display shows them correctly. - Lyrics: added support for the ELRC format. When there are no lyrics, the app explains how to add them. - Track numbers in a folder of mixed songs now run in order instead of being taken from the tags of different albums. - The interface is now fully translated — some labels used to remain untranslated.

Great Music Player

This music player is amazing has amazing features for an offline experience, I do want to mention that on the now playing screen when you try to gesture down it doesn’t go back to the main screen, it stays stuck on the now playing, if this could be fixed it would be amazing thank you.

Excellent app for offline musics

Easy to use, however is there any chance to add a multi-disk album support? Now the app identifies 2 disks as 2 separate albums. Still a great app tho, good job.

Edit: I see that the discs can be identified correctly, thanks for your work! Tho I’ve got another small request, is there any chance to eliminate the small gap/pause between two songs? Some albums are recorded seamlessly so I reckon they should be played seamlessly. Again thanks for the app.

Response from developer

Edit: Thank you for the update — glad to hear the discs are being recognised correctly now. About the pause between tracks: gapless playback is already in the app. It's built in deliberately and should work on its own, with nothing to switch on. So if you're hearing a gap, something specific is preventing it from kicking in, and that's worth tracking down. Please write to us via Settings → "Report a problem". It would help if you mention what format your files are in (FLAC, MP3 or something else) and whether you hear the pause on every album or only on some — that's usually enough to identify the cause. We'll get to the bottom of it. Thanks for taking the time to write. Thank you for the rating and for taking the time to write — I'm glad the app is useful to you. About multi-disc albums you're right. Right now Lumiya treats each folder as an album, so CD1 and CD2 in separate folders end up as two albums. I've added it to my list - I want discs like these to be grouped into a single album automatically. In the meantime, here's something that works today: put the files from both discs into one folder. Lumiya reads disc numbers from the tags and will order the tracks correctly - disc one first, then disc two, as a single album. Thanks for writing - feedback like this directly shapes what I work on next.

Response from developer

Response from developer

Response from developer
