About
Most weather apps give you numbers. Lune gives you sentences.
"Right now, it's raining steadily. You'll want an umbrella and shoes you don't mind getting wet."
"Tomorrow brings about a fifty-fifty chance of rain, most likely in the afternoon."
"Say goodbye to the sun in 23 minutes."
Four pages, one swipe apart: now, the rest of today, tomorrow, and the next seven days. Each one tells you what it's like outside and what to do about it. The only number on the screen is the temperature as it actually feels.
HONEST ABOUT MAYBES
Some days, rain is certain. Other days, it's only possible. Lune tells you which, how likely it is in plain words, and when it's most likely to come. It never promises a clear day when the sky hasn't made up its mind. The same goes for snow.
MADE FOR WHERE YOU LIVE
Twelve degrees is a mild day in Montreal and a cold one in Beirut. Lune knows the difference, and speaks accordingly. Small towns are called by their real names.
MADE FOR YOU
When you first open Lune, it asks a few quick questions: whether you're usually cold or hot, how you get around, how you feel about rain, and what you have at home to stay comfortable. Drivers hear about fog and slippery roads. Walkers hear about shade and puddles. People who love rain hear good news when it's on the way.
IT NOTICES WHAT'S UNUSUAL
Lune compares each day with what's normal for your town at this time of year, and tells you when today is out of the ordinary. On a truly exceptional day, it may measure you against a city famous for its heat or its cold.
HOUR BY HOUR, WITHOUT THE CHARTS
When rain, snow, a storm, strong wind or real heat is coming, a row of small glass gauges shows when and how much. Slide a finger along them and each hour answers in plain words.
SUNSET AND SUNRISE
In the last hour before the sun sets or rises, Lune counts down to it, right in its sentence.
WIDGETS
Put one of Lune's pages on your Home Screen: now, the rest of today, or tomorrow, with the next seven days on the large size. On the Lock Screen, keep the temperature and Lune's sentence for the day one glance away.
IT DOESN'T REPEAT ITSELF
Hundreds of sentences, mixed and remembered, so the same weather doesn't get the same words all season.
A LOOK THAT FOLLOWS THE SKY
Golden on hot days, deep blue at night, grey and wet when it rains.
IPHONE, IPAD AND MAC
The same four pages everywhere, with more room on iPad. On the Mac, Lune lives in your menu bar. Your answers, cities and settings follow you through your own iCloud.
QUIET NOTIFICATIONS
A short note in the morning, before you usually leave, or only when something unusual is coming. Your choice.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No ads. No tracking. Your answers and your places stay on your devices and in your own iCloud, where only you can see them.
