What is Lunical?
Lunical is a specialized app for managing lunar calendar anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays. It uses verified astronomical data from the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) for accurate conversions and offers features like automatic leap year handling and multiple reminder settings.
How does Lunical handle leap years for anniversaries?
Lunical automatically determines how to handle anniversaries in leap years and converts them to the correct Gregorian calendar date for that year. Once registered, your lunar anniversaries will automatically receive reminders on the correct date each year.
Can I set multiple reminders for an event in Lunical?
Yes, Lunical allows you to set up to 5 multi-stage reminders for an event. This means you can set reminders for different times, such as a week before, 3 days before, the morning of, one hour before, or at the event's start time.
What types of widgets does Lunical offer?
Lunical provides three types of widgets for your home screen and lock screen. These include a small widget showing the current lunar date and holidays, a medium widget displaying this week's schedule and lunar date, and a lock screen widget for constant visibility of the lunar date.
Does Lunical sync with other calendars?
Yes, Lunical offers bi-directional synchronization with both iOS Calendar and Google Calendar. Events created in Lunical will appear in your device's calendars, and existing events from your iOS/Google calendars can be viewed within Lunical.
Is my data safe with Lunical?
Lunical is designed with privacy as a priority. All anniversary and schedule data is stored only on your device, with no personal information transmitted to external servers. Google Calendar integration is optional and not required for core functionality.
