Free. No subscriptions. No ads. Just painting.
Pick a picture, try a color and follow your imagination. Lura Colors gives children space for their ideas, without extra purchases, advertising interruptions or pressure to perform.
YOUR COLORS. YOUR PICTURE.
Color in pictures or draw on a blank page. Discover animals, plants, dinosaurs, fantasy, jobs, sports, toys, mandalas and Lura. Three age settings offer different pictures and controls. Paint with a finger or a stylus and make each picture your own.
MEET LURA
Lura is a little, curious companion and the heart of this world. The name combines parts of my two daughters’ names: “Lu” and “ra” become Lura. Their curiosity and joy in discovery inspired both the character and this coloring book. Pictures of Lura invite you to get to know your companion and begin a journey together.
WHY I MADE LURA COLORS
I wanted my daughters to be able to paint on a tablet without subscriptions, ads or costs. A space to experiment, make their own choices and express themselves freely. And if I am creating that space for them, why not share it with other families?
PARENTS CAN FOLLOW ALONG
Separate save slots keep pictures and summaries apart. The gated parents’ area lets you set break reminders, session limits and daily limits. Summaries show painting time, colors, tools, preferred categories, average active painting time per picture and the picture with the longest painting time.
These observations can start conversations, reveal unexpected interests and help parents offer suitable ideas or support. They describe app use; they do not assess ability or development.
MORE WAYS TO PAINT
Optional color symbols, adjustable color vision profiles offer different ways to use the app. Pictures, save slots and painting statistics stay locally on your device. No account or cloud required.
TEN LANGUAGES. ONE JOY OF PAINTING.
German, English, Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese.
SHARE ARTWORK. COLOUR ON PAPER TOO.
Use “Share pictures” in the category overview to share artwork with family and friends through your device’s share feature – for example, with grandparents. You can also export and print uncoloured templates so your child can colour their favourite pictures on paper.
THE FIRST VERSION. THE START OF A JOURNEY.
This is the first app I am releasing in this form. I especially welcome honest feedback about performance and content: What works well? What feels slow? Which pictures or features would you like? Your feedback helps me plan future versions. I will decide what to build based on how it fits Lura and the time available.
