With it, you can check in for classes, view the training schedule, watch technique videos, and track your progress, including information about when you are expected to earn new belts and degrees. ## About Professor Luciano Ribeiro Professor Luciano Ribeiro is a respected Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor with more than 30 years dedicated to the art of gentle combat. His journey began in 1994 at Professor Aluízio Costa Filho’s academy, who was trained by Master Pedro Hemetério, a representative of the traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu lineage. Later, Luciano had the opportunity to train directly with Master Pedro Hemetério, a direct student of the legendary Carlos Gracie and Hélio Gracie. During the 1990s, Luciano built a strong competitive career, earning several titles between 1995 and 1998 across the blue, purple, brown, and black belt divisions. He also trained at important academies in São Paulo, including a period with Professor Ryan Gracie’s team, as well as gaining MMA experience alongside Professor Jorge Patino "Macaco." In 2005, he received his black belt from the São Paulo Jiu-Jitsu Federation under the guidance of Master Pedro Hemetério. Today, he is a 5th-degree black belt, promoted by Master Marco Dangot. Luciano spent 15 years as an instructor at Gracie Humaitá Academy in Registro, São Paulo, where he participated in seminars and training sessions with renowned names such as Rorion Gracie, Royce Gracie, Royler Gracie, and Rolker Gracie. He also maintained close contact with Master Otavio de Almeida, president of the São Paulo Jiu-Jitsu Federation. Throughout his career, he has promoted more than 20 black belts in Brazil.
