About
Lux turns your iPhone or iPad screen into adjustable light and brings lighting and color tools together in one app.
EIGHT MODES
• Softbox: adjust the screen's color temperature from 1800K to 10000K, set brightness, and choose warm, neutral, cool, or creative presets.
• Color Picker: use the color wheel or enter a HEX value, view RGB and HSB values, save favorite colors, and find the nearest RAL Classic reference shade.
• Night Light: choose a warm tone from 1800K to 2700K, lower the brightness, and set a sleep timer with a gradual fade.
• Ambient: create animated gradients, adjust their speed, and turn a breathing effect on or off.
• Strobe: choose a screen color and flashing rate. A photosensitivity warning requires acknowledgement before use.
• Ring Light: adjust the size, thickness, and color of an on-screen light ring.
• Light Meter: use the camera to estimate illumination, view minimum, maximum, and average readings, or open the Exposure tab for EV and suggested aperture, shutter speed, and ISO settings.
• Eyedropper: sample a color from the live camera view, inspect its values, and find the nearest RAL Classic reference shade.
MADE FOR EVERYDAY USE
Controls can hide automatically in lighting modes; tap the background to bring them back. Touch Lock helps prevent accidental changes. Switch between nine interface languages in the app. Settings and favorite colors are saved locally on your device.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Lux works offline and requires no account. The camera is used only by Light Meter and Eyedropper, with live processing entirely on your device. Camera images are not recorded, saved, or transmitted. The other six modes work without camera permission. There are no analytics, tracking, or network requests.
Light Meter readings and exposure suggestions are approximate and depend on the device and scene. Lux is not a calibrated measuring instrument and does not replace certified equipment. RAL matching is an approximate reference; screen colors may differ from physical paint samples. Flashing effects may affect people with photosensitivity; read the in-app warning before using them.
