This app will take you at least an hour to create a schedule. Very UNuser friendly 😞

Horrible app

I have worked in the landscape industry for 20 years. This is by far the worst app and transformer I have ever used. You need to trash everything you are doing with it and start over.

Great updates

There have been some great updates to the app that make it more user friendly. Looking forward to what more is released.

I've been using Luxor for many years and love the new updates and cloud based features. Well done on the improvements!

Worst ever

This app and system are the worst . I have had connectivity problems even though I spent about a grand to get it hard wired . It never works . You would be a fool to buy this

Good when it works

Been using the app for several years for several sites and a demo kit. After having the sites and kit working properly with the app for more than a year, recent use shows no co trillers connected. Tried to read a controller and got an error stating the controller was already assigned to a site. Very frustrating.
Tens of thousands of dollars in a light system and a half baked app.

This app is terrible . I hardwired my box and sometimes the controllers still don’t respond . The app is completely illogical and impossible to learn . Stay away from this

Wish I had read app reviews first

Powerful hardware undermined by extremely poor scheduling logic and UX.

The Luxor app treats “Programs” as independent schedules with no priority or conflict resolution. If two programs are active on the same day, they both run and silently override each other based on timing. The app gives no warning, no explanation, and no way to designate a single active “scene” or preset.

Saving a program requires at least one day highlighted, even if the user intends to store it for later use. This forces users into accidental overlaps. Some programs appear saved with no days at all, which suggests inconsistent or buggy logic.

There is also no clear way to enable or access “Seasons” (the only viable workaround), and documentation is essentially nonexistent. The result is lighting behavior that feels random, even when the user is being careful.

This is not a beginner mistake — it’s a fundamental design problem. The hardware is excellent, but the app needs a complete rethink around scenes, modes, or program priority.

What Happened?

With the most recent app update (4.6.17), it appears to have lost support for older controllers. Just get an error message stating controller not found. Won’t find with manual IP assignment either. ☹️

Awful

The worst apps on the App Store. $10k for lights and the app is awful. Look elsewhere. I am converting all my outdoor lights to Gemstone.

There is no excuse for the app being this bad. They need to hire engineers and start over.

I promise you that if you buy their product you will be disappointed. Demand that your contractor to use a different product or find a new contractor. Whatever you do, do not spend a single dollar on LUXOR products.

The update was a downgrade

This app used to work ok. It was never great but it worked. I opened it and turned on various light in my yard with it. Now the new version takes minutes (!) just to load then I can turn on light. This was not an upgrade but a regression error. Fix the horrible performance!

Can no longer even log on

Upgraded to a new phone running IOS 26.0.1, so had to log in again. As soon as I enter my password and click on logon, the app just blows out. Totally useless now.

Pointless

The app is a failure as many others have mentioned. There is nothing intuitive about it. It signs me out constantly. My Landscape Designer loves it. No idea why. Please work to make it easier to use!

Needs a Massive Update

If you want to assign lights to zones, you need to insert a tool into your phone’s headphone jack. Phones haven’t had headphone jacks for years. App also crashes out half the time.

Junk, don’t bother

This app is absolute junk and should be completely rewritten. When creating groups in the app it never saves the assigned group number and always reverts it back to 0. I also have 14 groups which I cannot delete in any way. When I delete them they seem to go away but when I close and reopen the app they come back from the dead, zombie groups that won’t die. Not sure why they even have this app when it’s so completely buggy. Don’t waste your time
