I really wanted to like this app as an avid hater of all things Google and someone who values privacy. There are two issues, with one being solely subjective.
1. It is SLOW to pull results. Some queries simply get stuck and it never returns a value unless you close out Safari. The images and gif hits are not good, either. I understand it can’t have the reach of Google but basic memes take too much work to find.
2. Subjective: the people who want unbiased info and freedom from Google are also likely to be privacy conscious. After a few days, the extension started nagging me relentlessly about disabling my ad blocker. How about an option to not be hassled about it. Like websites that bag about it, I will just not use it.
It has potential and I love the idea, but the speed of results gets old after the novelty wears off and for that reason, Luxxle, you’ve been chopped.
