What's New in Luz Climbing
1.8
September 1, 2026
ClimbingPartner.ai is now Luz. In Polish climbing slang, luz means slack (daj luz, give me slack). In Spanish it means light. Same app, same logbook, better name. New home: luzclimbing.com. New in this update: - Heart rate from a Bluetooth chest strap, straight to your iPhone, no Apple Watch needed. Works with Polar, Garmin, Wahoo and other standard monitors, shows live BPM while you train, and saves the session to Apple Health. - Choose where heart rate comes from in Settings, under Apple Health. A Watch left on a desk no longer takes over the workout and records a session with no heart rate at all. Fixed: - Apple Watch workouts now reach Apple Health. Quick activities, guided sessions and workouts started from the iPhone were being recorded and then quietly dropped. - An iPhone activity keeps recording when you leave the app, so you can film an attempt without ending the session. - The chat now opens with a short welcome instead of a wall of example conversations. The examples are still one tap away under "See what else Luz can do". Na luzie!
