This is our biggest update yet. Luzardo grew from a weight tool into a full herd-management app. Here's what's new: Cow Passport: a full digital record for every animal. Timeline: every animal's history in date order. Vaccination and illness tracking: log treatments and outcomes per animal. Cost tracking: record purchase price and ongoing costs, with running totals per head. Breeding tools: log artificial insemination and pregnancy checks. Pen management: group cattle into pens and see average weekly gain and health by pen. Batch updates: change several animals in one go. National and Universal ID: National ID plus cross-ranch Universal ID. Data export: email yourself your herd data anytime. Works offline: keep going without signal, syncs when you reconnect. Multiple ranches and teams: run more than one ranch and invite your team. English and Spanish: fully available in both.

The app is very user friendly overall. It’s easy to add new cattle and their information to my account. The features included are useful and it’s very quick and easy to customize my dashboard with the most relevant information needed.

Approximately a 55-60 lb newborn calf is estimated between 350 - 500 lbs. pictures uploaded were carefully taken following the detailed instructions.

Thank you for trying Luzardo and for taking the time to leave feedback. We're sorry the weight estimate was so far off for your calf. You're right to be frustrated. Our current model was trained on adult cattle and does not produce accurate results for calves. We should have been clearer about this limitation in the app, and we're updating the app description to reflect that weight estimation works best on adult cattle of supported breeds. We're actively working to expand the breeds and age ranges our model handles well. In the meantime, we've updated the app so that weight estimation is available through our data partner program, which helps us collect the feedback we need to improve accuracy across more animals.
