What's New in Lycana
2.1.0
August 20, 2026
Lycana 2.1 brings a softer new look — and a mode for the days when everything is too much. A NEW LOOK: FLEUR • Warm cream, soft mauve, and a gentle serif — easier on photosensitive eyes • Every screen restyled, from Today to your body map • A floating tab bar and small garden details: blooms for the days you logged, a butterfly on your privacy card FLARE MODE • One tap to say "I'm flaring" — Lycana gets out of your way • A shorter check-in: pain, fatigue, and what's present. Nothing else is asked of you. • Luna softens too — no streak pressure, no nagging about what you missed • Gentle check-ins from day 3, at your usual time • Your flare episodes are saved, with duration and severity, and included in your doctor report MORE TRUSTWORTHY RECORDS • Fixed cases where a symptom detail could be dropped when saving • Each check-in starts fresh — nothing is carried over from yesterday, so your log only holds what you actually reported • Clearer labels on the visit summary, so what you hand your doctor says exactly what it measures • Moderate UV is no longer described as low • The day's UV now counts towards your flare risk, as it was always meant to BIOLOGICS AND INFUSIONS • Medicines taken "every N days from the last dose" — Saphnelo, and Benlysta weekly or four-weekly — now have a schedule that fits them • The next dose is counted from the one you actually took, not from a fixed calendar date, so a dose taken late moves the next one with it • A reminder ahead of infusion day, with enough notice to arrange it MEDICATIONS YOU CAN ACTUALLY REMOVE • Fixed: deleting a medication or supplement did not remove it • Un-ticking a dose you had marked taken now clears the record, not just the checkbox NUMBERS THAT MEAN WHAT THEY SAY • Disease activity now uses the published SLEDAI-2K thresholds for blood counts, instead of your lab's own "low" flags — a mildly low count no longer adds activity it should not. This affects the number on Insights and in the PDF you share with your doctor. • A dose you deliberately skipped is no longer counted as one you took, so today's adherence on Insights reflects what actually happened • Your symptom trend no longer reads "Stable" before there is enough to compare — it says "Tracking" until there is • That card is now "90-Day Trend" and reads only the last 90 days, so it describes how you are now rather than how you once were • Several check-ins on one day count as one day, so a hard morning and a better evening are no longer read as a direction DELETE MEANS DELETE • Delete Account now clears everything it should — records, saved insights, flare history and all • If any part of it cannot be removed, Lycana tells you instead of reporting success As always: no accounts and no data collection. Your health record stays on your phone.
