FAQ

What does Tubecasts do?

Tubecasts allows you to play YouTube playlists and videos in the background or in an audio-only mode. This conserves your device's screen and battery life. It also enables you to record YouTube streams for offline playback.

How can I try the app's basic features for free?

You can try the basic playback feature for free using the App Clip. Visit https://drwjf.github.io/tcp/ before installing the full application to access this trial.

Can I listen to YouTube videos offline?

Yes, you can prerecord YouTube video streams to files and play them offline. This means you can enjoy your content without needing an active cell data plan or a stable signal, ideal for travel.

Is Tubecasts compatible with all devices?

The description does not specify compatibility details. However, it mentions an App Clip for trying basic features, which is typically available on iOS devices.

How does this app save my battery and screen?

By allowing you to play videos in audio-only mode or in the background, the app significantly reduces the need for your device's screen to be active. This direct reduction in screen usage and background processing leads to extended battery life.
