Thank you for choosing Mach1. We're so glad you enjoyed the experience. Safe Travels!

Charged immediately, nobody available

They charged my card before telling me there was nobody available to help me. This was 2pm in the afternoon, nobody available. They didn’t automatically refund it; locking my funds to find help elsewhere. I was stranded for hours and add to it additional calls to borrow funds after charge and calls to try to get it reversed. I don’t know why they charge before looking to see if anyone is available; or why they can’t refund it as fast as they take it. Either way it left me in a real bind and for an emergency service they should be better about releasing funds when immediately when they cannot fulfill their end of the contract so help can be obtained elsewhere!

Hello, Unfortunately we do need to pre-authorize upon submission of service request. Customers used to place orders and then not have any funds to pay the providers after the completed the job. The pre-auth is supposed to be released immediately, I'm not sure why this wasn't the case in your situation and for that we do apologize. Our providers are independent contractors and make themselves available at their own schedules. We do work to ensure providers are available across the U.S. however sometimes it does happen that no one is available at the time of request. This is part of the reason we do not charge a membership fee. We wish you all the best and safe travels to you! ~The Mach1 Team

Excellent convenience and Service app!

It’s very hard to find a quick way to get your car serviced in emergency situations but this App is the full package. The service tech had me up in running in less than 30 minutes and had the part I needed already. Highly recommend this app for emergency car issues. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Worthless

I see since one year ago they are still having the same issues glad you are taking these reviews and using them to do anything . I spent the rest of my money I had in my account to get my car towed using this app it takes my
Money and THEN says “no one available “ and now I am unable to even request because they cleaned my account out with the pre authorization. You should probably think of a NEW way to be able to use the hold money you already took out to apply to new request on a accountOR have some sort of waiting list if you are going to continuously be short staffed. How are you going to pre auth every time you request to even see if there’s a driver available??? Dumbest app ever. Don’t waste your time and money.

We are sorry to hear of your bad experience with the app. The system is automated and does only a pre-auth on your card. If there is no one available, it releases it almost immediately.

Not helpful

First, you have to pay before you are able to see whether or not there are providers in the area, so you're taking a huge gamble. Then, they give you a range as to what the cost will be, not even the actual price. I was given a range of $50-$65 for providing fuel. No idea what that range is based off of, but I'm desperate so fine. You hit okay, and then a pop up comes up stating that they will pre-authorize your card by making a charge before they provide any service. This pre authorization was the full $65. Every other preauthorization I've ever been required to pay has been like a couple of cents just to make sure my account was active, so I in no way expected a full charge. Why give a range and why say it's a preauthorization when you're going to charge the entire full price before anyone has even been dispatched? That alone felt like I had been swindled.

At that point I looked into more reviews that said they had paid but never received service at all, so at that point I realized I was unlikely to actually get the help I had requested, so I hit cancel. Another pop up came up that said I would be charged a $30 service fee if one of their providers had accepted already, which seems sketchy because they could easily say that someone already had and just keep your $30 for doing nothing.

Giving 2 stars instead of one because after I canceled, I received a call from their dispatch or something asking if I still needed service, letting me know that my request had pinged one of their providers but he hadn't yet accepted, and told me that because he hadn't, that preauthorization will fall off of my account in 5-10 minutes. Hopefully that's true. The guy on the phone was at least nice.
