About

Machiavelli is the classic Italian rummy game of scheming and rearranging, dressed in Renaissance style. Unlike ordinary rummy, the table belongs to everyone. On your turn you can break apart any meld, borrow its cards and rebuild the whole table, as long as everything is valid when you’re done. The first player to empty their hand wins. PLAY SOLO • Face 1 to 4 computer rivals • Three levels of cunning: Novice, Courtier and Prince • Play against computer opponents without internet PLAY WITH FRIENDS ONLINE • Create a private room and share a four-character code or invite link • Live games for 2 to 5 players • No sign-up: just pick a name and play PLAY NEARBY • Host a nearby table or find a friend’s table without internet • Compare and confirm the matching connection code on both phones • Keep Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on, and keep the app open on every phone • A nearby game needs 2 to 5 players with compatible installed versions; leaving ends the table YOUR TABLE, YOUR RULES • Choose your starting hand size • Use classic draw-if-no-play rules or automatically draw one card at the start of each turn • Choose a board style: classic felt, Italian colors, dachshunds or a playful pit bull design CRAFTED TO FEEL GOOD • Tap to select and place cards, with undo and reset while planning your turn • Invalid melds are flagged as you go • Newly drawn cards are marked in your hand • Gilded cards, velvet tables and classical type HOW IT WORKS Two decks. Classic rules start with 15 cards each. Make sets (3–4 of a rank in different suits) and runs (3 or more in a row in one suit). Rearrange the shared table, keep every meld valid, and empty your hand to win.

What's New in Machiavelli

1.1.0

Make the table your own: choose a board style, including Italian colors, dachshunds, and a playful pit bull design. Set house rules for starting hand size and drawing at the beginning of each turn. Nearby play lets 2–5 friends host and join a table without internet. This update also improves name editing, navigation, player-chip readability, and meld placement stability.
