About

Machiwa is a community app for finding local circles built around shared interests and managing everything from join requests to event-day activities in one place. KEY FEATURES - Discover circles and events by area, category, or date - Apply to join circles and manage members - Use member-only boards and circle chats - Join events, use waitlists, and access QR tickets - Share seating plans, random draws, polls, and event photos - Manage profiles, saved items, and notifications Organizers can create circles, review join requests, schedule events, and manage attendance, check-in, and seating. Participants can view the same information from their phones and stay connected throughout the event. Machiwa supports content reporting, user blocking, account deletion, moderation, and visibility-based access controls to help create safer local communities. WHAT IS NEW - Search circles and events by distance from your current location (5 km to 100 km, or worldwide) instead of by prefecture - Create a circle anywhere in the world, setting its area by address search or your current location - The interface follows your device language across English, Japanese and Korean, and can be changed inside the app

1.0.3

Hosts can now edit published events and count people who signed up outside the app. Events can use approval or information-only registration, and "Anyone can apply" opens them to people outside the circle. You can report and block from chat messages, comments, stories and event photos, and review or undo blocks in Settings. An event's area now comes from its meeting point. The home screen now shows nearby circles even when no events are scheduled. Circle owners can close their own circle and reopen it later. Photos are resized automatically before upload, so sharing is faster. Events that have finished are marked as finished automatically. An unexpected error no longer leaves a blank screen; you can reload in place.
