What's New in Machpoint8
1.0.3
September 29, 2026
Machpoint8 is a scheduling and communication app for airline pilots. This release is mainly reliability fixes, plus a few features reviewers can reach directly. What's new and where to find it Chat translation (new). Open Me › Settings › Chat language and choose a language. Messages from other people are then shown translated, with "Translated · Show original" under each message to see the original text. A single conversation can use a different language: open the conversation, tap ⋯ › Conversation settings › Language for this chat. Translation is off unless the user turns it on. The text of an incoming message is sent to our server to be translated. Nothing is translated for the sender, and nothing is stored beyond the device. Calls: keep using the app during a call. On a voice or video call, tap the ↓ button at the top left. The call shrinks to a small floating window showing the other person's video, and the rest of the app can be used as normal. Tap the window to return to the full call. The preview of your own camera is now live instead of frozen. Hotel directions. In a trip's duty-period view, each layover hotel now has Google Maps, Apple Maps and Share buttons. Share offers the hotel's name and address in English and in the local language, for showing to a taxi driver. Tapping an airport on the map now offers Weather and Airport info tabs. Update reminder. When a newer version is available on the App Store, the app offers to open the App Store page. The user can choose "Later". Fixes. The bottom navigation bar no longer goes missing after returning to Home from certain screens. Schedule sync is more reliable when the pilot has no trips in the current month, or when the airline's website is slow to load. Schedule sync requires an airline employee login Schedule sync signs in to the airline's own crew website inside the app, with the pilot's employee credentials. We can't provide those credentials, because they are the airline's, not ours. The other features above can be reviewed without a schedule. User-generated content safeguards (unchanged since 1.0.2) Chat and shared content keep the protections added for guideline 1.2: users must accept the Terms before using the app; every message and profile has Report and Block; blocked users' content is hidden immediately; reports are reviewed by our team.
