New App
Yesterday I was prompted to download the new app to read my paid subscription to the electronic edition. When prompted to long in I submitted my login credentials. It then gave error message not knowing if it was on my end or theirs. If they do not get this fixed many subscribers will cancel the subscription and I will be on the top of the list. You should test your new software before putting it on the marked.

Obituary Problems
For the past couple weeks, I’m only seeing Local Spotlight obituaries when I click on Obituaries. Where are all the other obituaries? Very disappointing!
Simple. Some ideas.
App works well and interface is simple. Some feedback. Be nice to have a “dark mode” option and also for the app to integrate into a widget on iPhone like Freep app does.
Used to love this app
Now you have to buy a subscription just to get your local news. Basic articles aren’t readable. Had the app for years and deleted it today

A very good newspaper. My favorite section is local sports. It has terrific coverage and great articles in the Macomb area.

Very nice layout
There is a lot to offer for the Macomb daily and all other areas and we should be heard and what can change if needed and not just complain. Give ideas if that is what is needed, but don’t just complain because you want a right now. They are giving it, you just have search and get use to the app. Over all very impressed. Would love for there to be a area of meeting for Macomb if there is not already one. Am still looking through it and good job.

Horrible App
If I could give it zero stars, I would. This app is awful. If an article has link to “continue reading”, don’t click on it. It will just take you back to the beginning of the article. There is no way to read an entire article on this app. They should pay me to use this app.
Current local stories lacking
Whenever I go online to The Macomb Daily, there are no new stories. It is always the same stories from the past few weeks showing. Still have not read anything about the I-94 east accident that happened 12/24/2018 that closed down the expressway and took us over an hour to move less than 1 mile to the exit ramp. I get more local news from Facebook posts than The Macomb Daily reports lately.

Need a magnifying glass
The developers must have used a big screen monitor when creating this app, they certainly didn't take into account the small screen size of an IPhone. The font on the home screen is so small I have to hold my phone right up to my eye to read anything, and I can't enlarge it. The articles on subsequent pages aren't much better. Not sure how this version passed any type of user experience testing.

I used to love this app, but since you changed the layout, I really don't like it. I want to see pictures like before, not headlines.

I'm not going to watch an ad, or even part of an ad, to read a local news story. I'm deleting this app and finding another way for local news.
Still Horrible!
I have deleted this app 3x over last 3 years and reinstalled hoping they caught up with the times, guess I was wrong. I worked for the Macomb Daily for 10 years, it "WAS" a great paper, this is just embarrassing. Let some high school kid handle this app as a school project and it would be awesome!!!

Is this a joke?
Do app developers actually use the apps that they create? This app has been a huge joke for the last 2 years I've been using it. It takes about 2 minutes to open an article after you click on it (doesn't matter if it's on my iPhone or iPad). In the middle of reading an article the app, like clockwork, the app crashes and closes. When you re-open the app to try to finish reading the article where you left off before it just randomly closes, it takes another 2 minutes to open. While you're waiting the 2 minutes trying to decide if it's just loading or if you didn't hit the article (since it just sits there doing nothing) you can't scroll or do anything since it's frozen while you're waiting for the article to open. I've dealt with crappy apps, but I have never hated an app so much that I take the time to write a review. This joke is just taking up precious space on my phone at this point. I hate it.

Deleted after 1 day
The IPhone app for the Macomb Daily is the worst news site I've visited. Every single time I tried to scroll through an article there was a vulgar photo of men at urinals with a phone number attached. If while scrolling your finger was anywhere near the ad you would automatically call the number. It happened to me 6 times while trying to read 2 articles. I could obviously end the call quickly but it is ridiculous that it was happening in the first place. Fix your ads and the placement of them and maybe I'd consider the app again but until that change is made there are plenty of other news sites I can use without worrying about calling a random phone number while browsing an article!

Awful
Terrible app! After installing it didn't work for days, even tried reinstalling and it still doesn't work. The adds are annoying and this app is as bad as the Macomb Daily website!
