What's New in MacroBurn
2.42
July 15, 2026
Updates in 2.42 include Barcode scanning: Point your camera at any packaged product and log it in a tap. Gels, bars, drink mixes, whole foods : from the Foods tab or while you're building a recipe. No barcode, or the product isn't in the database yet? Photograph the front of the pack, the nutrition panel and the ingredients, and MacroBurn reads the macros straight off the label and fills the food in for you. Scan straight into workout fuel: Building a session's fuel plan? You can now scan the exact gels, bars and drinks you'll carry right from the fuel screen, instead of hunting for each one. Updated amount picker: Adding or editing a food now opens a quick amount picker. Switch between servings, grams, ounces or millilitres, tap ¼, ½ or ¾ for a common portion, and watch the macros update as you go. Same picker whether you're logging from the Foods tab, from a scan, or building a recipe. Drinks now measure in millilitres: Sports drinks, water and mixes finally read the way they're served (250 mL, not 250 g) with fluid ounces if you're on imperial units. A bigger, fresher food library: Millions more packaged products, and the catalog now refreshes every week, so newly-launched products show up fast. Faster logging: Line up several foods in a cart, adjust the amounts, and log them together in one go. Every card now shows the brand next to the name, so a "Clif, Bar" reads clearly at a glance.
