Everything I was looking for

This app is amazing and does everything I need while not collecting data. It took me far, far too long to find an app that could simply track fat, protein, and carbs and a calorie total. The water, fiber, and sodium tracking along with graphs for everything are just a bonus!

A feature that I would find helpful is if when you are inputting a food in Quick Add or Manual Entry, something would indicate how many calories the macros you have entered in so far add up to without actually auto-filling the calories field, using the 4-9-4 estimate most nutrition labels use. There is a greyed out 0 in the calories field, and if that updated to a greyed out 40 after entering 10g of carbs, that would be incredible.

But I have zero complaints and plan to support the developer!

Hi, thanks so much for such positive feedback, I really appreciate it! I love your suggestion for gently auto-calculating the calories from the macros in the Quick Add and Manual Entry, I will look in to working this in to the app!

Better than Most!

I absolutely love this app, I found it due to its competitors (MyFitnessPal, LoseIt!, etc…) all going “premium” and putting key features behind a paywall. While the app isn’t perfect, it gets the job done, is simple, and keeps me focused on the goal at hand!

Thanks so much for the positive feedback, it means a lot!

Really bad app

No food ever comes up when trying to add. Not even eggs! When you scan a food, the title comes up but everything is inaccurate

Hi, Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately the data that I am able to get from barcode scans is currently limited to what we get back from OpenFoodFacts. I use it because it’s free but the data is crowdsourced by users and I’m learning it’s typically not great for US based users. The next update (coming soon) will expand barcode scanning to USDA FoodData which should be better for US users. In the meantime you can select this DB in ‘Search Foods’ where you may have better luck. I apologise for the poor experience in this case but if you liked anything else about the app at all I’d really appreciate if you’d reconsider the 1 star review, or if you’d like to try again after the next update I’d appreciate that too. Otherwise thank you for taking the time to try the app and for leaving feedback. Thomas

Scanner is way off

Barcode scanner records either 100g or 1g and isn’t even close on macros. Have to manually enter every item which makes the app useless

Hi Blergz, I appreciate the feedback. The data we get from scanned barcodes comes from the OpenFoodFacts database which relies on user submitted values, so unfortunately it's only as good as the data that gets entered to it. It is usually accurate in my experience but it may be less so for US food. I use it because it's free, and it allows me to keep the app free too. The diary entry will default to 100g / 1g when there's no serving size available from the database. I am actively searching for ways to improve this. If there's anything else you did like about the app, I'd appreciate you reconsidering the 1 star review, but I understand if not. Thanks for taking the time to try it out and let me know if there's anything else I can do.
