Difficult to use

It is really difficult to get to previous results. Not an easy app to use to track changes

Does not work.

I attempted several times to get a reading on my left eye. I have followed the instructions but Every time I get a message about my right eye when saving. Wasted purchase.

Can't get it to save

I take the test but can't get the app to save the results.

The app saves results when you mark an area of distortion on the screen with your finger or a stylus. That way you can compare the size of the area of distortion when you repeat the test at a later date to look for progression. If you do the test and do not see any distortion there is no need to save a normal result so the app does not give you the option to save it.

Simple & Easy

This app is great for monitoring the history of your eye condition. I used to try it with paper Amsler grids but going back to view the history was never easy/accurate. Trying to remember if there were any changes s week to week was not effective either. Once a week I use this app, save the results for both eyes then can swipe between weeks to look for changes. I also bring it in to the Dr and let him review it as well. Great app.

Great new version!

This has always been a great App for those of us with conditions that affect the macula. This new version fixed the few issues I had with the previous one. It allows you to compare results in a better way with the slider, it allows you to delete a previous saved result and - most importantly - it allows you to set up reminders so you don’t forget to test yourself. Great job!

Does not work on 6+

Would not register. Would not accept any input. "App Support" is a doctor's website in Puerto Rico with no mention of the app.

Hello, we wanted to let you know that a brand new version of MaculaTester (2.0) is now available. This update has been redeveloped from scratch to solve any previous problems, and to support the latest iOS devices.

Does not work

App will not allow any selections on the main menu. Complete waste.

Does not allow you to record anything.
Also results differ when using white background or using black background so do not waste your money.

Very helpful for people who need to test their vision daily

I agree with the previous reviewer about the navy background. I really like that one best, but I like that I can choose black or white if I want it too. I do wish you could have the option to delete a previous result that you've saved. It would also be cool if you could compare results...like view more than one day on the screen at a time (maybe something like the iPhone photo album). All in all it's a great app for those of us that have to manage our vision on a daily basis.

Good start

Needed ap.
I coud see changes in my vision gride, with the navy background, that I never imagined were there.
Needs narrower pen, grey ink color, choice of wavy, blurred, offset line.
