Terrible Experience

When coming to make a payment by Mastercard, the app has crashed on me on three separate occasions. I had to contact customer services to confirm that they hadn’t processed the orders and I was informed that they could see the orders in the queue but were awaiting authorisation from my credit card company. I really wanted the item so have had to process the payment via another method. Really disappointed with the app experience.

Response from developer

Hi rebeldc, Thank you for reporting this issue and we are truly sorry for the poor experience you had with us. Our team has fixed the bug and pushed the new update. Thank you for your patience

Really good but slow response at check out

Really good but slow response at check out. I had to wait and try 3 times before it went through. Other functionalities are great.

No option for gift

Made is fab, some lovely items, easy to purchase etc.. but I wanted to send an item as a gift but there was no option to do so. So the recipient will also receive the invoice and no message.

Shame

Nice products; poor app

Great products and design flourishes. Massively let down by the app though. The latest version constantly freezes and crashes. And the most ridiculous thing: it doesn’t have a landscape mode. Furniture and rooms are best viewed in landscape and so for the app to only work in portrait mode is an error so fundamental, it makes me question whether Made are capable of providing the service they’re selling.

Response from developer

Hi! We are sorry to hear of this experience. We always monitor our users feedback and aim to fix any issues as promptly as possible. We have made many improvements amongst which, the launch of our the iPad landscape mode. We hope that you will give us another chance in the future.

Quality Products

Made is a fantastic company.
So far all the items I’ve bought, have been of exceptional quality, and superbly designed.
Definitely 5 stars.

Nice interface but Difficult to find products

Overall the app is clean and easy to follow but the search does not always deliver the results you expect. For example not all of the things which match your criteria will be shown. Also it would be much easier to navigate if one product had all the combinations of material and shape available rather than listing them as separate products.

I love MADE

I have absolutely loved everything that I’ve ordered from made. The quality of everything is brilliant. The only down side is the wait times for items, but this is clearly shown when ordering.

Payment section.

Kept defaulting back to the start. Had to type in details 4 times. Almost gave up and didn’t bother buying. And now I can’t submit as apparently every nick name is taken 🤬

Poor customer service and shoddy workmanship

I ordered a sofa and it took over four months to arrive with continual delays. The delivery people were rude and after they left we found the legs were missing and so the sofa bed did not pull out. I paid extra for a memory foam mattress and it was very poor quality. It was impossible to get customer service to help I had to keep ringing and was continually given to new people who were unable to reference my previous call. Basically I ended up with a poor quality product which I paid over a thousand for with poor customer service would never buy or recommend them

Hanging at checkout

Based on my most recent experience, I’d advise that Made make their app dev team redundant and focus on the website.

The app adds no value to the Made brand when it is, at best, a less-stable copy of the website.

I was unable to checkout, with the app hanging when trying to confirm my delivery information. This happened twice.

I resorted to using the website to complete my purchase.

Why would you, as an SME, spend the hundreds of thousands of pounds per year needed to develop and maintain an app when it can’t even facilitate sales?

You could implement features that actually use the hardware available to native apps, e.g. AR product displays, that might add to the UX.

For dev reference, hanging occurred on iPad Pro 2nd gen, running iOS 13.6.

Love MADE but dislike customer service

I have bought many things from Made over the years, and all of it has been fantastic, apart from one thing, a dining table.

I have had to use the customer service twice, and it’s so impersonal, they don’t really listen to you, and it feels like they just want to tick the issue off their list as being completed and not really deal with the issue.

It hasn’t stopped me but from Made, but I do now cross my fingers and hope nothing goes wrong!

Excellent products, but fell short with their customer service

I wanted to split payment for some items, which understandably the app / website couldn’t deal with, when contacting through chat, I asked if two orders were placed within minutes of each other, from myself and to my address could have combined despatch, therefore waiving the second delivery fee of £39 I was told it was t possible. I asked to escalate to a manager, as I needed some human intervention, as this was ridiculous, I was told I couldn’t escalate. Not a good experience considering I was looking to spend a little under £650 in total.
Customer service: FAIL
Customer service flexibility: FAIL
Customer felt valued at end of interaction: NOPE

App is horrible on ios

For some reason the app lets you get fright through your order, then tells you there’s no phone number and it wipes all your input data so you have to start again.

It also leaves you looking at a blank white screen with nothing happening for far too long. A spinning circle or moving dit’s or something would be preferable. Never leave me looking at a white screen - how do I know if it crashed?

The stuff they sell is good but their app is horrible.

Poor quality

We’ve ordered over the last two months a couple of bedroom chest of drawers and also a bed. The chest of drawers had numerous faults in the legs and draws which meant we had to drill further to fit together. It’s cheap materials and the drawers have also started to fail.

We’ve ordered a bed twice and on both times have had to send back due to the drilled holes in the factory being done at different angles so the bed won’t fit together. We used to love Made but quality is now a shambles

Edelweis 6-8 seat extendable table walnut

Site easy to navigate and showroom in london really useful in seeing product before buying.
However we saw a product in the showroom on the weekend and when we tried to order it this week it was out of stock and discontinued. I chatted to customer service who unhelpfully said they wouldn’t let me buy the one from the showroom which is very strange as I am trying to spend money in their shop and have plans to spend a lot more!! The excuse was the that the products in the showroom “can’t be sold and get sent back to their manufacturer”. Just take my payment and send the table to me instead? We have already bought chairs to match!! :(

Great app but....

I loved this app. Easy to use and I live that it has a wish list option🥰
The only thing i think could really make it better is to have visual search since I cannot remember product names. A way of snapping a picture of an item when im out and about then search for it.
Also, maybe a way of seeing what that would look like within the home itself?
I have a few apps that do that and it’s really helped me make purchases.

Hmm

Probably only good for researching a few products but I really wouldn’t download this app. Just use the website. This app keeps chucking me over the to website for some links, like sale items - why can’t I do everything in app? It does not allow you to zoom in on product pictures. And when I’m in the checkout and want to click on an item to go to the product page - nope it does not allow that either.

Response from developer

Hi liamgardner, I am happy to inform you that that the team has now resolved the linking issues. We are working on implementing the zoom and hope to release soon. Apologies for any inconvenience and thanks for getting in touch

Love this app

I’m moving into a new apartment and this app has been perfect for me to find the furniture I need. I like the layout and it’s so simple to use. I don’t have any problems with it and even though it took awhile to order the items it was worth the wait!

Useless since recent update

This app was fine until an update around March 2019. I had a wishlist filled with items I intended to buy once I’ve finished the refurb of my house that I’ve been populating for the past few months. The update deleted this list and now as the search tool doesn’t seem to work I can’t find many of these items in the app despite them being readily available on the website. The new version of the wishlist also only seems to allow you to see ten items. Old version was great, can’t see why it’s been changed to be made far worse.

Clunky but has potential

Looks great and should be easy to use but unfortunately there's a few important things that don't work:

1. Wish list only lets you see 10 items, you can 'heart' more than 10 but the app won't let you scroll past that many in the wish list section
2. Categories are duplicated and for quite a few items tagging isn't correct so they don't appear where they should. Also there seems to be some old/duplicated categories
3. Search function is unreliable. I searched 'marble' for example and if didn't bring everything up that was made of marble despite the key word being in the title

If these could be fixed it'd be much better to use.
