Madobe: Shinkansen Guide

See what is outside the window of your Shinkansen. - Before you board: the first screen answers "Mt. Fuji is on the Seat E side" and "In Green cars it is seat D." This holds in both directions. - Live guide on board: tap start, and the app follows your position along the line by GPS. It announces "In 1 min 30 sec, Seat E side" ahead of each highlight, then "Mt. Fuji, Seat E side" while it is visible. - Automatic left/right: the side is computed from the map bearing of the sight and the direction the train is running, so it flips correctly on up-bound trains. - Keeps going in tunnels: when GPS drops, the app estimates your position from your last speed and shows "In tunnel (estimating position)." - Live Activity: the countdown to the next highlight appears on the Lock Screen. - 85 highlights: 55 on the Tokaido Shinkansen and 30 on the Sanyo Shinkansen, across mountains, rivers, sea, lakes, castles, cities, bridges and tunnels, each with a photo tip and the best seasons. - Next station and current speed, in km/h or mph. - Japanese and English, following the system language or set by hand.
