Very nice prior to update
The app is really nice and unique, there’s interesting events, but I don’t think its fair that when I paid a total of €78 euros and saved up a lot of credits that the moment I cancelled it I lost all of them. This is a new feature. A few months ago I had also canceled it, but I kept my credits and there were still some events I could go to. The events were ranked as either plain (I forgot the real name), bronze, silver, and gold. I was still able to go to the plain ones. It kept me engaged with the app and it made me buy a subscription again.

Hi There, Thank you for the feedback and for being part of Mae. Just to clarify, credits do not expire immediately after cancelling the membership. They remain available until the end of the active 3-month membership period, so you can still use them during that time. was great until everything was paywalled :(
i really liked Mae it was great to find small local artists in berlin. now everything is paywalled and members only. what’s the point of “creating community” if you have to buy into it before you can even participate?
artists are lost in the void of bigger social media apps so it was nice to have something like this. it just sucks now that you can’t even look at what people are posting until you become a member. disappointed.

Limited entries
It offers unique and small art gatherings like studio visits but that’s it (at least since I joined). I wish they would also add our big museums and galleries so i know what’s going on there currently and I have everything in one place. A calendar with an overview of the exhibitions or events I want to go to would be great aswell. So far I’m not sure if only studio visits is enough for me to stay subscribed.

Simple and great way to find creative events
I’ve gone to many Mae events and Marie surprised that how many amazing people I meet. It’s a great way to connect with new people and find new creative inspiration.
