About

Magic Alarm makes you say a line out loud before the alarm can stop—and lets you record the sound and write the line yourself. Record up to 30 seconds of your own alarm sound for each alarm, and write the exact line you must shout with Chinese or English recognition. Prefer built-in content? Four voice styles and random lines are ready. When an alarm rings, read the line on screen aloud. The app checks both what you say and how loudly you say it. Light and Medium end after the recitation; a Heavy wake alarm adds 20 real-time steps. You can also schedule a bedtime alarm. Instead of a notification you can swipe away, it gives you a challenge that interrupts one more late-night scroll. Features: • Wake and bedtime alarms • Light, Medium, and Heavy voice challenges • A 20-step finish for Heavy wake alarms • Separate Simplified Chinese and English line collections • Four alarm and feedback voice styles • A per-alarm recording of up to 30 seconds for your custom alarm sound • A fixed custom recitation line with Chinese or English recognition • A relaxed fallback after repeated failed attempts, so the challenge remains finishable • No account, no ads, and no network connection required Your recitation stays on your iPhone. Microphone audio and recognition results from the challenge are processed in real time on device and are not saved or uploaded. Only a custom alarm sound that you explicitly record is saved locally. Custom recordings and lines are neither uploaded nor included in device cloud backups. Step counting starts with the current challenge; the app does not access historical step data, location, or route information. Requires iOS 26.1 or later.

What's New in Magic Alarm

1.3

September 11, 2026

Added a new collection of awkward lines, hard-to-say feelings, and dad jokes, with increasing length across Light, Medium, and Heavy. This update also makes long recitations and live recognition feedback smoother, and keeps English words intact when wrapping lines.
