So I downloaded it because I remember the Doctor robotnik version I played as a child via Sega although this one is similar, I do miss the option to play with a friend and I really need better sound effects for bricks dropping other than that is not too bad. Iām on level six for what seems like forever but I donāt like is Iāll turn it and itāll turn the same way except for when I needed to seems like the computer has a mind of his own against me even on my handle when Iām flipping my beans around please update

legally distinct from puyo puyo
genuinely a good alternative to puyo. itās a bit rough, sure. but i feel that compliments it in way. the same song plays for every single level. its alright, albeit unfitting, but it really does put me in the magic bean mood.

Magic beans are used to play in a gravity Tetris type of game. They can be placed to form chain reactions to beat your foe or beat the level you are attempting to win. I think this game deserves more love than it is getting. I think this game is amusing and entertaining and decently made
So bad itās good
This is one of the worst quality apps Iāve ever downloaded, but itās so bad that it has its own charm. Extra star just because of that .
Good, could be great
Really nice to have puyo puyo on my iPad with the simple solo option. The āLevel Targetsā however, are either broken or need to be explained better. Iāve cleared beans of a certain colour multiple times only for the target to stay the same. When it finally did decrease, I had no idea what I had done differently. This needs fixing or clarification.

Not great, but could be much worse
This is a half-decent puyo puyo clone. Not great by any means, but itās serviceable. Levels seem to end kind of at random and proclaim āall clearā even when thatās not the case, lol.

Wellā¦what can I say. Magic bean has changed my life. Before magic bean my heart was cold and empty but now it is filled with magic bean iPhone game. Everyone else in the reviews are jealous snobs who expect the most out of everything and cannot experience the simple happiness of magic bean iPhone game. Unpolished but in a refreshing way.
I am on level seven of what seems like seven quadrillion levels. The music has been the same for every level so far, the song is something like thirty seconds long. The song is insane. It isnāt annoying at all, itās just so absurd and I literally laugh out loud as Iām playing the game because of it. Itās the perfect song for the game. Iām really not being facetious at all.
The pause menuā¦ has no button to return to the main menu. Just a button that says āexitā which, when pressed, exits the app. And it doesnāt even bother me, I think itās so charming.
Other people have mentioned the sensitivity and stuff. And I agree with that for the sake of accessibility, but personally Iāve just interpreted it as part of the challenge.
In all honesty Iāve never played Poyo. Iāve played Dr. Robotnikās Mean Bean Machine. From sonic? Thatās what I know this from. So I donāt have direct comparisons to draw, and I still havenāt played Dual mode but I am enjoying this game so far! God the music makes me laugh and I mean that with so much sincere enjoyment and love.

Not worth the time
Fun for the first few minutes, then breaks to the point of not being completable as early as the second level
...
This game is too rigged to be considered "fun" for me...
Too many invasive ads and rate nagging
The controls are okay, a little unintuitive.
The game rules are not really explained, at all. Thereās counters to the side on what color beans you need to clear, but no explanation on what affects the counter. Sometimes a basic clear lowers the count, sometimes an amazing combo does. Itās all arbitrary, and possibly glitched.
But the ads are way overdone. Thereās an unstoppable ad after ever round. EVERY round. No option to remove, no incentive to watch, itās the most basic anti-player monetization, grossly overdone.

Good!
No joke this is actually a pretty good alternative to Puyo Puyo. There is a few flaws to it however, and could use just a little bit of work, but overall itās a pretty good game.

Basically ripped off from Segaās mean bean machine. Game mechanics could be a lot better
Difficulty too high
itās an Infinite amount of levels but by level 7 itās practically impossible.
Twitchy and Inconsistent
The controls are far too sensitive, making placement unnecessarily difficult. Rotation switches direction arbitrarily. Fix these and this will be the best version for iOS.
