Doesn’t recognize basic ingredients

I took a clear photo of my fridge and it didn’t recognize eggs, spinach, or even a bottle of milk. Instead, it suggested recipes with ingredients I didn’t have. If the main feature is photo recognition, it really needs to work better.

App not working as described

The preview gave me the impression that the chef would create meal plans for me. Every time I ask for a 3 day meal plan (or something similar) the chef refers me to the recipe generator. When I go to the recipe generator, it shows a white screen after “generating” the recipe. The app is a nice idea that isn’t quite there yet. I regret spending money on this and want a refund.

Don’t paywall

If you expect everyone to pay then your app is gonna suffer. You should use ads instead of blocking this amazing thing. AI costs money to run so ads should be used over shoehorning people to instantly pay after generating one recipe. I will change my review if you guys release an update to make it accessible to everyone.

It’s just…alright

Don’t get me wrong. This concept will be wonderful…. one day. The combination of AI generated images and infinite combination will be a perfect draw for beginner level chefs. But, for now, the AI isn’t nearly powerful enough to have utility when it comes to the actual recipe. For example, try typing in any recipe with hollandaise sauce. The recipe will just assume that you have hollandaise sauce pre-made, instead of telling you how to make it.

Give the AI a few years, and this will be every amateur chef’s best friend. It’s too bad it’s just not there yet!
