Playing in person. Then playing the app causes visceral vomiting. Its clear that the “free game” is taking advantage of players by enraging them into spending money. It’s a serious case of master and Pavlov’s dog. If there wasn’t interference the games would be fun. But it’s impossible to play 1 on 1 in a fair match without arena getting in the way. Latest update is trash
Latest update algo completely screws over deck draw, starting hand, and mana draw. Whoever is I charge need a swift chastising. Will not play or spend money until you fix this trash.
WORST RNG EVER, RIGGED
This has to be a joke right? The shuffler “smoothing” is complete BS. You either get land flooded or mana never comes. You can tell when you get your hand if you’ve played long enough whether you win or lose. You play a normal 60 card deck? Get housed by a guy running 260 with amazing draws! I mean this game is a literal joke and all the developers should be fired. Statically there’s more of a chance aliens land and take over than the insane rigged draws you get. I mean four of the same cards in the opening hand constantly?!?! No matter what you run the game makes it to where even the losers win with terrible decks so there’s no point to waste money. This game is RNG hell and it should be investigated. Title of worst ever RNG gameplay goes to this piece of TRASH game. I wish the store would allow 0 stars, 1 star is above and beyond what this game is. RIP OFF AND RIGGED AVOID!

Toxic players
The game itself isn’t bad you can test out mtg or get in a quick game. One big problem is the players. A large portion will just play to be annoying. Since there is no real reason to play against them it’s easy enough to just leave. However annoying is a meta strategy in this game so I can’t give a frustrating infuriating game the score it deserves.

Game is absolute garbage. You’ll have a 100 card deck and draw all 4 of the same cards.
You’ll have 15 lands in a 60 card deck and draw 4-5 out the gate.

This game is so rigged. The draw engine is definitely designed to keep you loosing until you spend real money on the game.
Pay To Win.
Prepare to wait 3 mins for your enemy to do something because they try to be toxic and drag out clocks so you’ll leave….. bad bad game and. awfully pay to win. The premade decks they force you to use are just trash and then you get to wait 2 mins while your enemy sets their phone down and walks away…. Matches don’t flow well and it’s really only good for learning the system so you can play in person because this is a scummy business model and even smellier game. You’ll get awful hands every time and be subjected to losing 9 out of 10 matches because their premades are totally absolutely garbage. Your enemy will use up all their allotted timeouts and wait it out just to see if you’ll leave…. Awful game do not play. Actual game is way better but this online version is trash for anything outside of just learning the basics. 2/10

MTG DOESNT CARE
The Servers are forever slow. The game lacks the depth a franchise of this magnitude has. There really feels like a disconnect from other modern games in comparison to this one. Its a lack of effort by the devs or whoever owns this mess. Dont get me wrong i love go play magic but this lacks the creativity of modern mobile games. Its slow and does work properly half the time. You spend 50% of your time waiting which seems normal but loose even a little bit of connection good luck getting it to work in time. I reload this app multiple times everytime i play.

Can’t get into one single game without the server losing its mind and causing the enemy to just freeze. No it’s not on my end because trust me I’ve done every troubleshooting solution I could and yet still it freezes up. Wanted to learn the game and this is a horrible way to show me to play. Poor excuse of an app and I’m deleting it.

Broken when iPad is turned off
Every time I turn off my iPad, when I turn it on again, the app says “failed to retrieve asset manifest” and then is stuck on loading forever. Uninstalling it fixes it. This is very annoying.

After spending a considerable amount of money, I became locked out of my account. Weeks of emails to wizards have gone unanswered. Use caution when considering sending them money.
Unplayable Standard
Standard is once again unplayable unless you use the same cookie cutter Izzet decks. The fact that a single two color combination repeatedly dominates the meta shows that the game designers are either biased or simply incompetent.
