MagiConnect T-Cast functions as a smart TV remote control and a media casting application. It allows you to control your TV, cast local videos, music, and images from your phone to your TV, and even cast online videos to various compatible devices.
Key features include multiple remote navigation modes (button, touch, mouse), the ability to cast local media files like photos and videos, quick launching of TV apps, and screen capture sharing. It also supports casting to a wide range of devices including Chromecast, Fire TV, and various smart TV brands.
The app is free to download and use, offering core remote control and casting functionalities. However, it does contain in-app purchases and advertisements, which may enhance the user experience or unlock additional features.
The app is designed for TCL Smart TVs and also supports a wide array of other smart TV brands such as Sony, Hisense, Xiaomi, and Panasonic. It can also cast to devices like Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Fire Stick, Xbox, and other DLNA-compatible receivers.
To connect, ensure both your TV and phone are on the same Wi-Fi network. You will need to open the T-Cast application on your TCL Smart TV (found on the T-Channel or Applications) and then use the MagiConnect T-Cast app on your phone to detect and connect to the TV. Disabling AP isolation on your router may also be necessary.
