The screen just goes black for magnifying however as a key light it works great.

Already comes pre-installed on phone default.
Needs a couple more features
Good app but missing a couple more features. Needs to have a focus button or another way to auto focus. Right now you have to move the iPhone around to get the picture just right which can be a pain. Maybe use long press for focus. Also need to mention “Picture Saved” when you press the save button to confirm picture was taken.

Magnifying glass
I really like having a magnifying glass available to use on the go. This one is nice in that you can change the magnification power. I also love that is has the light that you can use if needed. I use it both ways as some writing on glass surfaces doesn’t show up under the light.

This app is awesome because before I go to sleep at night I always read and know that I have time off school and i stay up later it helps me a lot I highly recommend this app for people who love to read at night
Works well
Does the job. Menus and checks in dimly lit venues are visible again. On/off toggle for the light. 6x magnification is in-focus. Does the job, nice.

I got this magnifier app while on my iPhone 6sPlus but will never be without it. In my sixties, it seemed everything got smaller so having this magnifier on my phone is a no-brainer. So simple to use...I love it!
I Have Been Waiting For This For My Whole Life....
This app is wonderful. As I get older and my eyesight gets worse, I now have the ability to see/read things that were very difficult before. And the built-in flash makes a 5-star app even better. I am a science teacher and having this magnifier has made showing my students things to make science more appealing so much easier. Thank you very much for a free magnifying lens that has helped my life/job more than I thought possible.

Good app but!
Takes nice pictures, but doesn’t assign a ‘shooting date’. Kinda messes up the sorting of pictures!
What’s the point?
Simple design (which is good) but I can’t see any advantage over the built-in magnifier. And even worse it doesn’t hold the magnification setting between uses, while the built-in app does. So again I ask, what’s the point?!

Disappointed
Good at magnifying but no flash or light and not able to take a photo. Maybe on premium …… then app is misleading!

The zoom is really simpler and I can view the small text easily. Best app I have come so far.

Not working properly
Tip calculator doesn't work on iPhone 5, paid for this too. Need to fix.
Off Task
Don’t need a “tip calculator” since I actually can do math. Besides I already have a great calculator on my phone already, don’t want to add to bloat so will find another magnifier

I just got this app and tried it out for the very first time. Man is it amazing! No more struggling in dark restaurants trying to read a menu! If I could give this 10 stars I would! Thank you very much for this app, it’s so greatly appreciated!

I have just begun to use this neat, basic little magnifier and has already exceeded my expectations! I felt something “fall” into the top of my ear canal an hour ago and tilted my head and tried to shake it (whatever it was) into my hand. Fortunately, the “speck” landed in the palm of my hand. It was too small to make out without magnification and I immediately thought to use this new magnifier to identify it.
I grabbed my iPad Pro 9.7 and opened this app, turning the camera toward the ear crumb for a view. I pushed the “light” button on and focused in on the tiny ear debris. The resolution was incredible, even when turning the magnification slider to max. I was expecting the image to be inaccurate and more blurred when maxing out the camera, but it was crystal clear!
I will now be using this useful little marvel as a companion to the jewelers loupe I own when the need arises. I collect Art Glass, antiques, as well as meddle in all things electronic and/or “gadgitty” so this will be added to my little “tool bag” of ID utensils.
Don’t expect this to be the end all concerning magnifying glasses, but if you need a quick tool to enlarge things you can’t ID see with your own eyes, this cool app provides the perfect fix!
BTW..... the loosened ear frag that fell into the palm of my hand??? It was an East African EarWhig. A minute parasitic insect that feeds off of the dried blood of small animals, insects, or other decomposing organisms. Luckily, this creepy little bugger fell back out of my ear, because pregnant females of this species have been known to crawl into the ear canal of unsuspecting hosts and lay her eggs in its brain tissue. When the eggs turn into larvae, they feed on the blood rich brain cells until mature enough to sprout wings. They then tunnel back to the eardrum, consuming it whole, all the while leaving its fecal matter in its wiggling wake. It finally exits by flying through the same ear canal while leaving the host half deaf, half dumb, and totally insane in the membrane!
