Maguro is a strobe tuner built to the standard of the hardware strobes that repair shops and pros rely on, in an app that opens fast and asks for nothing. A REAL STROBE DISPLAY The four-band pattern is driven by the signal itself, not a smoothed needle. Sharp drifts one way, flat drifts the other, and in tune the pattern freezes solid. The fine bands resolve fractions of a cent while the coarse band stays readable from across the room. ACCURACY YOU CAN TRUST Detection runs in two stages: period detection that stays on the correct octave even when a phone mic can barely hear a low string's fundamental, then a phase stage that measures the harmonics where the energy actually lives. On a clean tone it resolves better than a tenth of a cent. MADE FOR REAL ROOMS AND REAL STRINGS The tuner learns your room's noise floor, so refrigerator hum and mains buzz never start phantom notes. Decaying wound strings keep reading to the end of their sustain. The readout sits still while you listen and moves the moment you turn a peg. GUIDED TUNING ON REAL INSTRUMENTS Tap a tuner post on a photographed headstock and tune string by string.
