Worked great on my previous phone. App crashes every time I attempt to take a photo with iPhone 17 pro.
Undependable software
You have to have this app for any modern phone to work with their system, and it crashes like none other. Mid hunt see something awesome? Too bad, Magview app crash.
It’s a good, basic app
It does work and it easily locks my iphone lens so there’s no annoying switching while using the app. I’d love some support for volume up key shutter function. I have a Bluetooth button that works as a remote and this would be helpful for my binos being on a tripod. Otherwise no complaints.
iPhone 17 pro
App does not work with iPhone 17 pro. Image on screen is poor when using the app, and the app just closes when trying to capture an image. The app worked great on my iPhone 14 Pro. I reported the problem to support in September and no fix has been provided.

Does not work with iPhone 17 pro max. Picture is very blurry and keeps trying to focus on something.

Crashed every time I take a picture
Literally every single time I hit the button to take a picture the crashes. It also will not get past the first screen unless I give it access to my microphone, which I do not want to do. Seriously, does anyone that works for Magview even use this app?????
Need this to run MagView when you have multiple lenses on your phone
If you have a camera with multiple lenses on your phone, you need this app to run the MagView. Only problem is the color on the app is all F’ed up. Extremely dull and makes it had to see into shadows through a spotter. Tried adjusting the brightness but that didn’t help. Wish they would fix this.
Not working on iPhone 17
Worked great on my iPhone 14 and now I can’t get it to work on my iPhone 17. Please fix it.
Fix these!
If you are recording a video and leave the app, it deletes/doesn’t save the video. Make it so it ends and saves the video when you leave so you don’t lose your video. The app stores all the images and videos in the app and will take up a lot of storage even if you try and delete them.
App crashes
I’m in the heart of archery season and the app crashes every time I press the capture button on photo and video. Impossible to line up picture with default camera app on iPhone so my MagView is useless this season. Using new iPhone 17 pro.
Great tool to use for the Magview
I have been using the app for a little over three months. I talked to their guys at a trade show and they told me the negative reviews were before their company bought Magview and they have the app devs working to make it better. I have not had any issues using it almost everyday.
It is so much help aligning your phone to your spotter and it makes it super simple. I have been using it for general birding activities and also at the range so help record and measure my shots from the bench.
The new company managing this app is doing much better and I have not had any of the bugs previous users have. I have the iPhone 16 pro.

Works Great
I have taken some awesome videos and pictures while using the app with my Magview adapter. Favorite feature is that it locks my camera lens so that it doesn't try to auto focus like the normal Apple cameras.

The most recent version of the app has functioned great on my iPhone! I love the MagView product and will continue to use it on my binoculars and spotter.

Won’t work for iPhone 15
Had a big bull I was watching today and tried my new magview. Wouldn’t work or capture ANY videos or pics. Wish I’d have known I’d have brought my other adapter. Looks like it’s been an issue for almost a year. You’d think they’d get it fixed. Definitely returning my magview. $170 for some broken junk? No thanks.

Won’t save videos or images half the time
Took videos just this morning of some good deer I’ve been scouting to hunt, none of the videos saved so I have no footage to review. App is slow and only works less than half the time
Still not working on new iPhone
There answer when questioned about not working is to contact Apple support. Pretty sad. It used to be a great product but now no way I could recommend.
