Simple and easy to use. Great way to learn Haiku.
Putting the fun in functional
This app makes the poem easy to format so that the focus is on the creative message of the poem and I don’t have to worry about counting syllables. Currently, I like to see how many haikus I can write in 10 minutes since the app time marks when you finish them and that’s been super great too! I haven’t tried posting yet, but the templates promoted look cute and there’s a dark mode too, which I always appreciate. All in all, this helps me warm up for a writing day or give my brain a reset after a long doomscroll and is a great outlet both beginners and pros would find helpful and clear cut.

This is an excellent app for creating standard haiku poetry. Sometimes the syllables are miscounted, but anyone can it figure out.

MAIKU
I have done hundreds and I hundreds of Haiku with your program MAIKU but lately it developed hiccups one or another function would not work correctly and NOW it willcrash after trying to open it.
Is there a limit to how many haiku can be saved. I am suspicious that I have sur pas ed the limit — two questions
1 can I save old haiku? and
2 can I get the program please

I really do love this app and I use it almost every day! Such a simple way to capture haiku while I’m out for a walk. It looks like this app has been abandoned. I hope it will keep working for a long time.
Easy to use and intuitive
Helpful to create haiku without going over the amount of syllables.
Certain words like ‘desire’ to me has 2 syllables, but in the app it says 3 syllables which isn’t a problem, but it makes the last syllable grey if you go over, and I think haiku are descriptive, not prescriptive, so it would be nice to at least leave it fully visible, with just the syllable count at the bottom telling you you are over. Still a great app though, and that’s bearing in mind my loose grammar isn’t really their problem lol

Simple and beautiful
I was recently introduced to Haiku and try to write one in my journal every day. This app makes the experience better and allows me to focus on the intent rather than the number of syllables. It would be nice to have iCloud sync sometime as I use it across my devices.

In a world of "pay for information overload" poetry apps, Maiku really hits the nail in the head with enough functionality to be perfect for what I need without another app, but not so much that I'm lost in menus.
Maiku is simple and elegant, just like a Haiku.

Simple and easy to use
This is a no frills app and that’s why it’s so good. There’s practically no learning curve. I would give it a fifth star if it had an option to choose different fonts.

Next , I want to list words, app to keep syllable count, then move whole words around on the lines, while keeping syllable count each line. Would be so awesome !

I love the minimalism of this app and the photo underlay feature especially. I wish it had 3 additional features:
- the ability to time stamp versions. Sometimes I go back and improve a poem, but then I lose the original date which always has significance for me.
- a few more fonts
- the ability to save with the photo underlay; edit poems while retaining the photo underlay.
