New in Majalis 5.5 OFFICIAL VERIFICATION • Apply for an official account — government, media, business, institution, nonprofit, or creator. Attach your evidence, verify your email or domain, and appeal a decision if you need to. • Confirm or decline the organisations that list you as an affiliate, and see media transparency details on official accounts. CREATOR TALENT PROGRAMME • Creators can apply to the Creator Talent Programme from the profile menu. SHARING • New share cards for your profile and your Majlis, with Emirati themes and a choice of post (4:5) or story (9:16) format. • The share menu now shows the link itself, so you can copy it and send it anywhere. PROFILE • Pick from 40 Majalis avatars if you'd rather not upload a photo. • Your story archive is now a tab on your profile. FEED, VIDEO AND REELS • Tap a photo or video in any post to open it full screen. • Videos play in full instead of being cropped, and Reels open in the full-screen player from every entry point. • News posts show every source behind a story. MAJALIS • A Majlis now opens at its newest messages. • Majlis notifications arrive the same way one-to-one messages do. LANGUAGE AND ACCESSIBILITY • Hundreds of screens translated across all seven languages — English, Arabic, French, Filipino, Hindi, Russian and Urdu. • Right-to-left layout fixes throughout, and every icon-only button now has a name for screen readers. Plus a better tablet layout, and a long list of stability and performance fixes.
