Keep crashing every time I try to use it
Needs Major Updates
The Makani app has potential, but it needs major updates. Here are the key issues:

Can’t find building by either tapping on the map or searching. Useless app …

Useful and can be better
The app is very useful to identify buildings during field trip. But the interface lacks ease of use. Also the pin point logo on the map is not so good. Change it to modern once like the once used by major mapping apps lie google maps.

App does not work.
I needed to fill a Visa form that requires Makani number of a hotel I will be staying. The hotel website does not show makani number. Then I downloaded this app. It cant even search the hotel.

This is sitting at the top of worst iOS apps
Latest update doesn’t work on latest phone
I have latest iPhone with up to date iOS and this new update has broken the app.

Does not have all locations
This app is slow and does not line up with any areas that are recognizable. Can’t find any locations in Reem. Needed it to give me Makani number to shift internet. I long pressed on my location and it just dropped a pin then froze. Hope they sort it out soon

برنامج فاشل ولا احد يتعامل وياه . لو تعطي الرقم الى اي شركة توصيل ما يعرفون المكان اخر شيء يطلبون اسم المنطقة ورقم الشارع ورقم البيت . مع الأسف بعض البيوت في المناطق الجديده لا يتوفر رقم البيت وهذه من اكبر مشاكل التي تواجه سكان المنطقة

Great app but the map should be updated
Makani is a great system for locating addresses and location. No need to refer and explain one's location reference to a landmark or a building or any other known location. Simply share the Makani number and the person can find your location using the Makani app.
However the map used is an old one. The map shows the area where I live as it used to be 2 years ago. Houses, buildings and roads that where built in my area over the past few years show up as empty land on the map, as it used to be more then 2 years ago.
Key landmarks like the Jumeirah Palm, the extension of the creek and its connection with Jumeirah beach and several other locations show up as they used to be few years ago.
Once the map is updated, this app will be a 5 star app for finding locations.

Not Quite Ready To Use
I just downloaded the app to select my apartment building in Bahar, JBR. The app seems to have overlaid two views of the area making it almost impossible to select your building. If you do try to select by touching the screen, the following selected area has buildings missing.
This may be just isolated to JBR on the map but for me I gave it 2 stars; its difficult to use and the information on the app doesn't display correctly.
